  1. Better than a Hobbs?
  2. Ha,Ha, but that's coz your from Yorkshire. Tight as. Lol.
  3. Nice one for a Friday, a Beech tidy up, reduce some of the uneven branches, bit of a thin and make it a nice shape. I think James has done a cracking job on the Tree and Luke and josh on the ground, I was on traffic and pedestrian liaison. It was near a busy school and driving test route. The bottom left looks thicker than it really is as there are trees behind it..
  4. It was fairly local and it came on a trailer but I don't know if its included. I'm sure you could.
  5. That's what I thought so will be pricing it in a few more jobs.
  6. You should have seen it before, it was a mess. They have neglected it for 15 years. The field behind is now being developed for houses so they need to keep them.
  7. Very good, liked it a lot. Good value also. £354 for a week with delivery and collection and insurance.
  8. More pics....
  9. Last day of a 4 day hedge and tree bonanza. Mixed week weather wise and very sunny today. Here are se pics. The hedge was a huge overgrown conny hedge until 3 years ago when we took off about 3 meters, then this year we have taken the sides back about a meter in places, there was good growth back there so should recover ok. It's more tree like than dense like a hedge so not to dead. We have a Wellingtonia to crown lift, an Oak to dead wood, a Beech to remove and a load of hedge trimming. We had a tracked picker and 4 lads. Chipped most of the waste but I took about 31/2 cube of clipping to the tip and it was 21 quid!! Bargain!
  10. Awesome day up here, sunny as. Last day of a 4 day hedge and tree bonanza at a big house.
  11. I think I have messed up mate, Treedave is an oxtrac man, I think they are different arnt they? Sorry about that.😳
  12. Best get a cut and climb then as I stay nice and dry I'm mine.😄
  13. Treedave on here knows about them I think, pm him.
  14. They are, loving mine, so easy to do big stumps.
  15. Its Stevie Blair Dean, he will have one of each. LOL:)
  16. Just but the best to start with which is the cut & climb from Clark's, made I. The UK, does not need re proofing and is tough as old boots and very waterproof.
  17. The cut and climb are brilliant jackets.
  18. Apparently I can get away with just the operating ticket mate, I will look into it. Thanks.
  19. Hi all, what ticket do I need to be able to set up traffic management please? I have had a quote of a hire firm to do it all but its silly money and will only hire for a week. I could hire the stuff needed for a lot less.
  20. That's how it is sometimes though mate, you have to take the rough with the smooth. We all get em like that, I had a guy once give me the impression I had the job, I did 2 site visits and it was a good 40 mins drive, treated me like a long lost brother, he rang me up to give me the job or so I thought but in fact told me he had got a cheaper quote but thanks for all my help and he would get in touch when he needed more work pricing, I told him not to bother and to go forth and multiply with himself:)
  21. I too would struggle to sell kiln dried logs at that price and as a few customers have tried it in the past and commented that it burns to quickly.

    Advice please

My thoughts exactly, they mention it in the survey as suffering from bleeding canker and is a moderate risk but with no recommendation for it?? I have suggested the client gets in touch and asks the question. I have suggested remove and re plant.
  23. Hi All, my customer has had a tree survey done and they have not made comment on this tree which I think should come out. I know they are the experts but I think the tree should come out as if it fails it will cause damage. Anyone offer their expertise on this??
  24. I was expecting a barrage of abuse from you Chris, Ha,Ha. Nice one.)
  25. You should go out and look at the job. Then go around with the client and get them to show you what tree work needs doing, if you are a tree surgeon with the realavant certs and insurance you should be able to sort a price out for that work based on your daily running costs. The grass cutting should be based on what you would charge for grass cutting and strimming. As for how much you charge for this kind of work depends on your running costs and what you want as a wage.
