  1. It's ok to say use your arisings but they are getting less and less, people think the timber, however crap is worth loads. I had a lady get me to look at a big sycamore in a field boundary, wanted it felling and all removing for free!! 2 days 3 men, then it would need to be made into logs, not worth it at all as the logs might just cover the cost.
  2. I'm in Kendal if that's any good.
  3. My mate had one built for his Navara and cost about 5k, he also had to uprate the suspension.
  4. South Lakeland district council have got Andy to do carvings on about 4 stumps from takedowns around Kendal, the Friendship seat is in the park by my house and I can see it from my window, its great. Andy is a very talented carver.
  5. He's not on here Dave, I think he did do it though.
  6. That's crazy!! Its gonna be 70 quid at roadside! £80 delivered in! That's stupid.
  7. Levy aint truncator mate.
  8. Nice one Dave, I need it for next year, I will take whatever you have mate.
  9. Things are gonna get ugly soon, I spoke to a guy up my way and he is struggling to get cord, I've just got 27 tonne off the FC, sealed bids and all that, I know a couple of people who bought it who do logs as a side line, makes it hard for is pros who can't compete on price of a retired bloke doing it for fun.
  10. Can the existing HB20 be made into a 25" machine Dean? I would do mine if its possible.
  11. Give me a wave then as I live just by there:)
  12. I know of a farmer who has had a load of Oak butts and a couple of Ash butts on his land, big old knotty things, they were dead standing or blown down, he has had them skidded a couple of miles roadside and is wanting a lot of money for them off a saw mill👍 they are not fit for anything other than firewood but he thinks there worth thousands. Why? Because someone told him they were!!
  13. Give Trust a call 01604 492644 ask for Cameron. Excellent service and they know what they are talking about. I have been with them 9 years and have had cheaper quotes but not the same policy or service.
  14. Got ya! That's well explained. Thanks.
  15. Send him a pm on here or try his mobile, send a carrier pigon:)
  16. I can't see how that would make Mitch diffrrence? It only takes seconds to file each tooth unless you have hit something. Surely the chain wouldn't cut as well if it has teeth missing?
  17. Not true in my case, LR main dealer I use is brilliant, work done is excellent, time scale spot on, loan vehicle with tow bar always provided. If I have problems I can just turn up and they look at it. They have won awards for the best dealer many times. Speak as you find.
  18. Fresh oak;)
  19. You just can't win mate:)
  20. He meant on the 150.
  21. I also started this thread for a laugh, I had the boom box out as I was fitting new light on my trailer, I knew I had set myself up for a barrage of abuse from the anti wolf brigade but I never hear an justifiable comments as to TW being pants?? I asked TW why the don't put greaseable bearings on the main rotor shaft and was told they had tried on a couple that went in demo but the lads using it didn't grease it! Second if something wraps around the shaft it will still overheat bearings that are greaseable. He also said that if you keep your blades sharp and anvils you should have no probs.
  22. I don't understand where that comes from, my Shute has been bashed about and dropped etc and it's not bent or damaged??
  23. Yes it says I look after my machine, we chipped up to 6" for to days and the blades have lost there edge, I could keep on chipping but why compromise my machine? It a known fact that dull blades put wear on your machine as it's not operating to spec. Like I said before if you look after your machine then it will serve you well.
  24. What Chipper was it?
  25. Wrong:)
