  1. If it was deeper an more extensive area might cause an issue but it probably won't do much harm. Id say up to you what to do. Im not keen on Crocosmia × crocosmiiflora if thats what the plants are is as they can be abit invasive and people dump it on verges. But hard to ID atm.
  2. Its had a new fuel filter. Only have ever adjusted the idle screw as the H & L need some type of special screw driver as mentioned above Technical Data - Makita DCS3500 Repair Manual [Page 3] | ManualsLib WWW.MANUALSLIB.COM Makita DCS3500 Manual Online: Technical Data. 3. Think I "Fixed" it. I took the the carb off another saw and it now seems like it runs ok, so looks its was some issue with the carb. Still have another (the same model )not fixed. Symptoms are I can't adjust carb to idle right, either the chain turns or or cuts out, & it also cuts out and bogs in the cut. Think it might be an air leak as tried a new carb and new coil with no improvement Was a cheaper after market chinese coil though. I've checked the piston from exhaust side its looks ok. Anything else to check apart from a pressure vac test?
  4. Hi how did this go? Having similar issues with the same saw. Cut some barn dry half rotton birch up for someone and there was alot of dust think its caused a carb issue.

  15. How does a contractor both have the gear to fell & remove 1000 tonnes of oak but also has had to leave stumps 6ft high? Were they standing on a step ladder felling the trees?
  16. Id be pretty confident to finish that on my own in less than a day Are you sure that its even blackthorn its an odd location for a blackthorn hedge? Looks like privet?

  20. Why can the stumps not be left if its gonna be replanted? Obviously maybe not at 6ft high but cut low. Some may regrow it being an old coppice etc? Seems a very odd and unnecessarily destructive way to managed a PAWS woodland.
  21. Does sound a but much that taking 3 days but there is always alot more volume of material to remove than expectected on jobs like that. How many truck fulls of stuff was it in the end? A forestry type saw blade on bruscutter might be the tool for it cut all the suckers of at the the base narrow the top down to 3ft?
  22. But super is only semi synthetic so maybe that means its less good so i dunno....😏
