  2. Yeah for some reason yorkshires ones are over £150 I don't think anyone makes the quality ones in UK might be some small scale bespoke blacksmiths? Itay still has several makers patterns are different but they do have a mssive range of some very very similar regional patterns to the yorkshire like the rimini ones etc. Rinaldi F.lli Rinaldi | Produttori attrezzi manuali F.lli Rinaldi WWW.FLLI-RINALDI.IT Angleo B Attrezzi per il giardinaggio, agricoltura, sicurezza, edilizia, camino e forno, animali domestici, ferramenta | Angelo Bergamasco WWW.ANGELO-B.COM Produzione e commercializzazione attrezzi aper giardinaggio, agricoltura, edilizia, accessori per animali domestici... 4. About 3-4 months under cover (as left in pile outside is no good) at most id say. Thats the hedge laying season anyway. Any longer will probably dry out to much
  5. Looks like figs.
  6. Why not a system of low impact mobile/ prefabs/trailer park homes using "eco" materials where possible mass produced for ecomony modular by design A modern well insulated prefabs probably nicer than alot of uk housing stock.
  7. Mulching mowers are ok if you like cutting lawns like a golf couse several times week Sounds like you need a rough cut mower or side discharge
  8. Don't stand closer than 5m? Proabably says something like that in in the manual? https://www.highwayssafetyhub.com/uploads/5/1/2/9/51294565/hei37-highays_england_alerts_-struck_by__object__during_remote_cutting_operations.pdf Stuff can get thrown along way
  9. Looks like a blunt axe then a chainsaws with the chain completely blunt also bit odd?
  10. Yes it probably will survive for yrs esp being a willow. If left to is own in the longer term maybe decades etc the wound/defect could cause the top blow/break off and then maybe it will then either sprout from the base or root as phoenix tree if top is still attached. Pollarding below the wound is an option or just leave it be & see what happens.
  11. Woodlots looks like its has gone virtually inactive compared to what it used to be. A cordwood/roadside standing timber directory would be handy - something like the tip site one maybe?
  12. Corvid and ukraine while factors are being used as scapegoats , the majority of the issues are elsehwhere and reflect longer term trends imo. Of couse other peoples views may differ. Eggs did you read the oxfam report link? Another one below that the oxfam one referenced: https://www.unitetheunion.org/media/4757/unite-investigates-corporate-profiteering-and-the-col-crisis.pdf

  14. Yew can do well over a 1ft in a yr so not that slow.....imo
  15. Alot of stuff doesn't post to UK unfortunately think most silkies didn't. This silky pole saw does works out cheaper than UK i think even with £40 quid postage..... https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/Silky-273-30-Forester-Tier-12-8/dp/B00AXXA1U8/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1AF1CGRR91O1P&keywords=silky+saws&qid=1700851000&sprefix=silky+saw%2Caps%2C272&sr=8-5 But its a market place seller so postages wouldn't combine with amazon direct orders. I was tempted with a whale/fish hook/sappie 😏 https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/19112/dp/B005ZN9P76/ref=pd_sbs_sccl_2_4/357-4024861-1716624?pd_rd_w=m9ybD&content-id=amzn1.sym.c54a93f0-9f09-4c91-acbc-0909deaabe5b&pf_rd_p=c54a93f0-9f09-4c91-acbc-0909deaabe5b&pf_rd_r=AZ2W8KMQBN01J3N770R0&pd_rd_wg=r4Wk0&pd_rd_r=1e9246c1-6717-46f8-a139-a3956151f502&pd_rd_i=B005ZN9P76&psc=1
  16. Well i ordered a whole load stuff some okatsune sceatuers and some rdm other garden tool bits and bobs from amazon jp and it came without any issues or hidden import tarrif, was fairly steep postage but still cheaper than uk. Quality of theese hedge shears for example compared to any UK brand stuff or fiskars plastic fantastic is in a completely different league. https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B003I85W7C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And even theese cheapo ones are very good: Goes through 1/2 inch hornbeam hedge branches easy. A clever curved "strong type" blade design no one sells in UK. https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B08MZLXC4L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  18. Hasn't being many decent sale discounts for yrs anyway online. Only bargins ive found a is at rdm times on amazon. I think AI might be governing prices as they jump all over? Was Samurai saws - (same as the silky zubats saws) on there a few ys back for £9.99 each.
  19. How about insulate the outside?
  20. The big stihl ones or the husky ones have a gander at a past thread

  22. The Kress website is makes so bold claims that sound abit suspect. So its saying the batteries last 10 time longer than some others but what others etc?
  23. Theres a BS for rabbit proof fencing mesh max diameter and wire guage height etc FG4: Rabbit fencing supplement - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK Find out about eligibility and requirements for the rabbit fencing supplement. A customer had some chicken wire installed surrounding his whole garden and rabbits were still getting in as the mesh holes were to big and they can chew through cheaper thinner gauge chicken wire. Mulch mats also best be used I reckon - also chesnut posts are nice if you can get them.
  24. Cramer 40v one looks like bargin All for £150 1.5kw Cramer CS4015 40v Cordless Battery Chainsaw c/w Battery & Charger | Mowers Online % WWW.MOWERS-ONLINE.CO.UK Join the cordless revolution with a Cramer battery powered chainsaw. Cordless power provides zero emissions with... I reckon in general cordless are useful versus petrol 30cc and below - a small toppers & small ground saw niche. Also hedge trimmers are good as battrries last ages Over than not so good as they eats batteries to fast & plus are too heavy but lack power on larger diameter so I don't see the apeal. MSA300 n0t impressed a big heavy lump about 8kg with batteries? MSA220 I wouldn't mind one after having had a play/look at one.
