  2. Just did a 100m hawthorn hedge with 3 yrs growth with the makita trimmer took 1 and a half 5amp batteries Had to use looper on fatter stems (some near 1 inch) bit trimmer did majority.

  13. Seems a shame to be grubbing up 10 acres of apple trees, whats going there instead? What species of apple are they? I reckon leaving all chip onside is best as will rot down and improve soil and from pic look like the there won't be a large volume. Green wood workers bowl turners etc are always after big diameter apple wood but they are often the types who want everything for free though.... Maybe you could try selling some as turning blanks? Also as apple wood chip is sold for smoking maybe has some value?

  16. I never known what is best from lidl sunflower or rapeseed used both as think price is same,,,, I did look up viscousities at different temperatures.... Dunno if it is important.....
  17. Is low impact more about the owners opinion of leaving a tidy looking site than the actual possible negative ecological impact? Some times a messy site could be not be any worse for nature, brash everywhere.... frog spawn in ruts etc....., churned up ground can be good for certain plant and animal species, as its a is a new habitat to colonize.......

  20. If oiled when green won't it be sealing moisture in? I thought maybe season abit then oil when wood is lower moisture content? Can't really do that I suppose if its outside though,,,,,
