  5. I got a makita DHP482 drill battery 5amp and fast charger buying seperate was cheaper than a kit, no box though. 9. Imagine if bin men went on strike. Alot more vital job for society than the majority of other jobs. Not saying bin men should get then same a doctors but they are provided a vital service. As an example: Wage differences have skyrocketed CEO to workers. CEO now get above 200 times more pay than bottom rung, back in 1965 it was 20 times. CEO is the extreme example of how the whole pay scales has changed across all jobs within comapanies and public sector organizations. NHS & council management consultants for example.
  10. Looking at getting one.. Seems there 3 brands: henchman, hendon (workware) & hawesgawa. Is there any difference in quality between them? Haesgawa are the more expensive jap ones sold by niwaki. Also come in standard and heavy duty versions in each size. Also platform or standard. Any advantage of 150kg max load over 100kg ladders more durable? Hendon standard and heavy duty are both rated 150kg which doesn't seem to make sense?
  11. Even some millionaires are commies & want to pay more tax: https://patrioticmillionaires.org/
  12. Another problem is many houses that do exist are in the wrong place post industrial towns with few decent jobs but people can't afford to move, conversely areas were better jobs have massive housing shortage/unaffordable housing. Maybe there needs to be council mobile homes so people can afford to relocate were the work is. More travellers! ?
  13. Off course in a pure captalist system the low wage workers would just sleep in the street or illegal slum shacks like in India or many other third world countries without welfare systems. Actually many homeless in UK do work full time Shelter warns of leap in working homeless as families struggle | Society | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Charity blames high rents, freeze in housing benefit and shortage of social housing
  14. Or rent control like USA or germany? Rent regulation - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG
  15. Maybe the minimum wage should be alot higher? Problem is housing is so unaffordable so goverment has to pay people rents to private landlords who are are making billions from housing benefit Private landlords get £9.3bn in housing benefit from taxpayer, says report | Politics | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Amount is nearly double what was paid 10 years ago according to National Housing Federation study So i for an answer too the original question,,,, It's socialism for the rich and capitalism for the rest of us in Britain | Books | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Who are the real scroungers? Free-marketeers decry 'big government' yet the City and big business benefit hugely...

  19. Anyone bother to use a insulated bag to store carry their batteries to protect them form cold/warm as supposedly effects performance? Seeing that that husky make a special one for there battery made me think one might be worth it.
  20. Suppose more would have to go vegan to free up some agri land for trees as atm alot trees still being felled for agri grazing globally Locally I'd happy be to see all upland UK re forested I don't think the farmers would be too plz'd though but there only in buisness atm due to subsidies.

    Tanaka 7201

Can't find much info about it online apart from one place in Zambia selling it https://www.turfmaster.co.za/Chainsaw Tanaka PR0 7500.pdf
  24. I think people need to alter the whole outlook on weeds and accept there existence in some areas as they are good for wildlife (obviously they need to be controled on farm land for crops etc I mean more public LA spaces) Often see verges sprayed along public footpaths when strimming would be ok and for the 1000's of miles along motorway edges central reservations isn't there another method? Also repeated spraying seems to make the weeds worse after several yrs as stuff like docks & perennial weeds grow on the bare ground created
  25. When I chat to landowners & homeowner still most seem ignorant of ash die back even though often many of the trees on there property are dying or dead. Ash is the dominant tree here as a %. Find mentioning dutch elm helps them to get an idea of the impact as some remember that. Maybe there should be adverts on TV pulbic information broadcasts like there used to be?
