  1. Sugi nose sprocket only lasted 2 weeks? ?
  2. A decent picture of a leaf/branch would help with id trees, they do look half dead.
  3. Which ever one has the part you want in stock & is cheap. But check the shop doesn't have terrible feeback reviews first.
  4. 120 euro Bit steep for a pair or work kecks... I use the £10 aldi ones they are abit heavywieght material in warm weather though.
  5. This? https://www.gardenmachinerydirect.co.uk/accessories-attachments/stihl-tillers-kw-mm-sweeper.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5q29k_On4gIVYbHtCh0hsADLEAQYASABEgLZAfD_BwE
  6. Alot of the roadside trees iv'e noticed are definetely 100% dead not just late as all of the smaller branches & twigs have fallen off. ?
  7. BTCV handbook for dry stone walling has pics of either gap in wall wooden rails or adapt wall round tree as tree grows. Like the archway idea.
  8. How about that ariens razor? I have a cheapish mountfield with a honda 160c engine doesn't like wet or very thick grass though, but very fuel efficient compared to the older mowers, also self drive is very weak & it blocks easily.

    Birds/Nests

Plently of black birds around seems less swallows though. Also I think just less birds around generally. Alot of once "common" birds have being decreasing for yrs.

    SLUGS

25C won't stop them polytunnel gets to 40C still has slugs in it Go down at night and kill them.
  11. Cyanide Didn't get much regrowth from hand clearing, when I volunteered doing it, probaly less than 5% of area total. There seemed to be 2 distinct growth habits: the low 2-4ft stuff that formed dense "mats", then the large bushes/small tree stuff some was well over 20ft ,which was alot easier to get rid of than the mats as fewer large, spaced out stumps to uproot, instead of loads of smaller dense ones. Using a mattocks and a silky saws/bowsaws, job would of being alot faster and easier with mini digger and chainsaws.
  12. Why can't the spoil go back in the holes they dug it out of instead of behind dams? Probably it will cost alot more but surely a better system is possible if the regulations were in place?
  13. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robinia_pseudoacacia https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/42928754.pdf Sounds like a good wood to grow, classed as invasive so must grow well ? https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=2ahUKEwiWhrPo7f7hAhWwSBUIHdtHDy0QFjAAegQIAhAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nonnativespecies.org%2FdownloadDocument.cfm%3Fid%3D1385&usg=AOvVaw3zov97iFbMZINsZjD685DU Probably have to wait till next year for bare root.... https://www.hedging.co.uk/acatalog/product_10284.html
  14. For firewood I uses a makita lecky corded saw, a cable is a slight hassle but no fumes saves petrol, build quality is good its lasted yrs. Its cuts loads faster than say a MS181 as 2kW but obviously no where near a 550xp
  15. I though he meant this one: https://www.laddersandscaffoldtowers.co.uk/acatalog/3-Section-Combination-Ladders.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhabswqjy4QIV6LvtCh0l0gmPEAQYASABEgKGRPD_BwE Looks unstable unless very lvl ground?
  16. Maybe is 5ft tall and pollarded acient old olive?
  17. Majority of moorland a plagio climax vegetation that would natural revert to woodland, and fires & sheep is how its maintained as such.... Are natural fires or arson alot worse for nature than the controlled burning & sheep that maintain the enviroment? Isn't it just the same process but all in one go/ larger scale as opposssed to alot of smaller fires management, that are needed to reduce the fuel load of dead flammable material that causes the large fires? With another hot summer likely to be a load of fires like last year
  18. https://www.makitauk.com/product/duh502z.html Supposedly an upgrade over the other models
  19. Majority round here have some signs of Chalara also
  20. Hope the employers haven't got unreaslistic expectations for you sounds like they are asking 1 person to cover all the jobs that a dozen used to do historically? That walled garden looks massive ? As for the pear don't take off more than 25% to avoid a load of watershoots, it looks like it was maybe over pruned in the past hence the mass of upright shoots. Best to do neglected trees gradually over several yrs even though some owners will complain you haven't taken enough off etc.....
  21. Some councils are going to stop using glyphosate: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/apr/05/uk-councils-weedkiller-cancer-link-monsanto-roundup
  22. Why an aspen trunk in particular?
  23. Overpotting i reckon bigger isn't always better.... Common mistake. https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=864
