So going naked? Or are they worse than polyester or cotton etc?. I suppose wearing clothes second hand or the same clothes for ages til they fall apart & darning you socks etc patching holes on trousers, would be is most enviro, but it would makes you look abit of an oddball. Clothes are cheap enough that there not worth patching up like in the olden days, and people like new stuff even when theres nothing wrong with the old. Even in poor third world places they have cheap mass produced brand new clothes were as the poor used to have second hand rags/make there own clothes.

Maybe the average person is just not as fit nowadays as in ther past? From the NHS webnite: If that many people are fat doesn't bode well for most peoples fitness to do a physical job.

Cut branch clean at a union/collar leave cut untreated, apples will no good will be sour/too unripe atm to taste nice apart from animal food imo. Many gardens have loads have apples they never use im sure if you keep an eye out someone will let you have a load though locally this yr has being very poor for apples.

Best time of year to coppice / pollard?

Apparently for hazel it doesn't make much diffference to growth rates after a few yrs what time you coppice it. Read some really good study they did an experiment coppicing in every month, stools did just as well after 5yrs etc (height and thickness/number of rods) if coppiced in summer as the winter coppiced ones. Annoying can't find the study now. Also read somewhere else charcoal makers and bodgers coppiced all year round. Wonder about frost hardyness though for tender shoots if late summer coppiced (espeically chesnut maybe?) About moisture content if you leave the leaves on tree for a while after summer felling the wood is suppose to loose some of ther the moisture....transpiration. Think it was in nowegian wood they mentioned it -

I wouldn't want to use a tractor PTO splitter alot as you get gassed by the fumes. Anyone run a hose etc to take the exhaust fumes further away?

Yeah its to early to say about durability but its works about as good as HSA 86 i reckon 4,400 spm & anti vibe very good. Aprrently same motor as in a makita impact driver

All "sport" t shirts aren't equal some cheapo ones are like bin bags. One sport/running one I got for £3 from aldi was terrible, but another is alot better/ more breathable. So cheap ones can be okish or bad, bit of a gamble. After something better for fell running atm or maybe i'll go for a vest...

Have a 20m square of grass I have planted some fritillary bulbs in Whens best to cut it to encourage them to spread? I suppose after they have seeded..... From google: So check seeds heads & cut grass has soon as posibble after then go ripe?

But is 2.1kw same power as a 40cc saw and similar weight? Makita just scrapped the toolness nonsense on there lecky saw only rated 1.1kw though for a the same saw weight, which seems odd as they have the expertise from drills etc.
