  2. Depends where you are there is quite alot locally near the slate quarries. Yon can still get them new from penrhyn I think. £15 each someone told me...few yrs ago.
  3. . Used mine recently to pull up some of this type of slate fencing some was nearly 3ft deep ?
  4. Same locally, one got a few million £ grant lottery money? but don't seem do that much. Now have atm I think 2 payed employeed that don't seem to do much of anything. Another different one locally had big grants but run up debts and then went bust. Apparently a few favoured local contractors were charging them crazy amounts to do jobs.
  5. Have a hilka one its ok. I just googled the the hi lift ones aren't that much more expensive. Never used it on tree stakes (they pull out by hand usually after a wiggle etc) are they big fence post size tree stakes? Agritool Post Lifter - Land Management Tools from JS Equine UK WWW.JSEQUINE.CO.UK Buy Agritool by Post Lifter from our Land Management Tools range - @ JS Equine How bout this? Or Wood Stake Pullers - Terrateck WWW.TERRATECK.COM Manual lever-arm shrub puller How many tree stakes to remove what diameter?
  6. How about special the higher octane stuff ive never used it? Is it worth splashing out for premium petrol? WWW.RIAS.CO.UK Premium petrol brand promise so much, but are they really worth it? This guide from Rias should be able to help you... Also this E10 fuel they want to introduce soon will it knacker up chainsaws? Why Use Ethanol Free Fuel? Find ethanol free gas. WWW.HUSQVARNA.COM
  7. Northern polytunnels are good quality tubing Easy-Build Polytunnel Kits - Northern Polytunnels WWW.NORTHERNPOLYTUNNELS.CO.UK High-quality polytunnel kits with a lifetime guarantee - shop online for free UK delivery. Always go for the double door version for ventilation. The alu doors are expensive especially for a smaller tunnel as % of cost. Thy used too do be basic double wooden door option on wooden frame. The overhead sprinklers doesn't reach the last few ft @ the sides on a 12ft. but 12ft ventilate alot better than longer narrower tunnels & you can grow stuff down the middle to full height like cucumber & climbing french beans melons etc.
  8. North Wales. Never thought it might be a stray cat, do see some random stray cats around ocasionally. Have a pet cat that eats alot of rabbits & pheasants, its never shown interest in hens even when had chicks ducklings etc.
  9. Thanks for the suggestions Gonna strim & trim as its become abit of jungle along one side of boundary that borders on a clawdd/hegderow. Then will be able to see any holes/animals tracks/traces better Used a camera before yrs ago on the hen house pop hole & it caught magpies stealing eggs whole without breaking them. Seen a few dead polecats on road over last yr or so, having never seen one before that. So thinking it might be one squeezing though a hole somewhere. Hmmm...? Neighbour had a whole load of hens killed at once but iv'e never had that happen.
  10. Just lost another chicken last evening to a fox... Brand new chicken only bought 2 days ago. Chickens are keep in a outdoor run & get locked in a shed at night. Its about the 3rd one over the last 5 months its always only one hen at a time. Only 1 only 2 feathers & no other traces left each time. Always the youngest & most healthy chicken also ? Previous times before they last 3 there was always alot more feathers.... (That was before the fence when they were free range in field) Fence is about 5ft but it must be jumping it? Could be something else not a fox? Any suggestions apart from re-doing whole fence higher. Area is large about 25m X 25m
  11. That Dominic Cummings is actually proper brainy though have you read his blog: Bit of a machvellian & full of himself not sure being excellent at the BREXIT political campaign etc will translate to effective governace ideas though? ?
  12. Stupid persons idea of a clever person. If he had say a brummie accent he could say the exact same, and not be taken seriously, but certain people have undue respect for posh sounding people by some kind of weird warped logic that posher automatically = clever so treat his every innnane word like hes some kind genius oracle. Same with bumbling Boris. Both have realized content isn't important. "Eton Trumps" throw in a a few latins phrases to impress the serfs
  13. Looks like it might kick off again on Saturday.... Bamboo sticks as weapons
  14. I much prefer cycling in the cuntryside lanes than towns less broken glass & "phone zombie peds" Share use paths are often rubbish also as they can be swarming with dog walkers etc covered in rubbish and blocked by moody "chavs" ? I do try stay off busy roads though whilst cycling, some of the mammils you see on busy roads are either ignorant or the area/scared of getting lost as on holiday, or scared of damaging there £5000 bike going down country lanes due to potholes etc. Plus sometimes the busy route is the only route available. As for cycling being unheathly due to pollution being in a car is worse than cycling: Cyclists 'exposed to less air pollution than drivers' on busy routes | Environment | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Study shows people in cars and buses spend longer in toxic air, as do walkers on main roads
  15. How about women cyclists are they "allowed" to wear lycra? ? or does it make em plonkers?
  16. Have the 5 ah batteries Went for the middle 600mm 24" length as was thinking less work for the battery though on using it probably has enough power for the 30" bar........ Makita does do a battery multi tool that has a hedge attachment but its the double battery version like there older model hedge trimmer rather than single so extra weight. Also attachments are pricey Makita launches twin 18v (36v) split-shaft LXT multi-took PROARBMAGAZINE.COM Makita has launched a 36v cordless multi-tool system for landscape maintenance operations together with a range of... Would be nice to get some feeback from anyone who has the multitool one.....
  17. That Monty Don series bout Japeses gardens, I noticed all the tree ninjas with silkys were wearing snazzy canvas boots: Not chainsaw boots but they have steel toe caps
  18. I have the same hedge trimmer also im impressed with it. Hoping they bring out a long reach version of it also.....
  19. I always look and the vibs when buying stuff but worst things iv'e noticed for vibs are karcher pressure washers & my hair trimmer. Barbers must be in danger of HAVS?
  20. Interesting any pics of the oaks?
  21. This seems pretty extreme but I noticed some contractors strimming and they were doing that, I thought they were just lazy stopping all the time but must of being about HAVS? Was 6 people strimming balsam and they all stopped together every 20 mins for 10 mins just stoosd around, then repeat etc. Do others also do this also now thinking I should whilst strimming? ?
  22. How about linen? Dunno how enviro it is but its natural & biodegrable, ans supposedly good in summer heat.. Linen - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG 100% linen polo shirt - Men | Mango Man United Kingdom SHOP.MANGO.COM Casual line 100% linen Polo neck Short sleeve Side slits Model^ reminds me of the "Sports causual" look like Alan Partridge ?
