  1. Probably caused by a nervous stockmarket , the wholesale dumping of shares middle of last year would have made the banks shit themselves, the rest is history. There is probably nothing wrong in the way the company was run. Bob
  2. From memory I think we changed the spool valve to accommodate a beak at a later date, so basically for small change and a few hours work they can be custom built to suit . Bob
  3. What you are dealing with there sir is the great unwashed scumbag section of the community that think that this normal and acceptable, its to do with their piss poor upbringing . What it needs is someone with enough balls to launch the whole lot into the pub lounge on a friday night and just keep doing it until the message is very clear. Bob
  4. It was a while ago now but cleared a lot of trees and scrub on motorway banks over a three year period for Carillion , no problems with payments or otherwise. Bob
  5. Nice slippery sidestep there Graham We basically have to accept Darwins theory or believe we have a creator , when looking at how complex the most simple of life forms are I do struggle to believe they have all evolved from a chemical soup. Bob
  6. The government bless them are offering app 1% to get this scheme off the ground and are expecting charities to do the rest, what a load of shite. That £5.7m will get swallowed up by those that polish office chairs with their arses , just cant see this ever happening. I thought the emphasis post brexit was to get our farmers back into supplying home produce to feed the nation , planting forests over land that has taken generations to clear and cultivate does not make sense. Bob
  7. 18" should be enough. Dont go to tight to the cab , only takes a hapless oppo to tug on the wrong lever and you will get a bruised cab. There are plenty of these Bob
  8. Interesting read, I am into my sixth week as a cripple now, been upright for the last two weeks but still in agony. Sleep deprivation is probably the biggest killer , rest seems to be the shortest path to recovery for me because a day out and about puts me back a week. Bob
  9. Nothing fancy, just a bit of clearance. Bob
  10. Surely temperament has to be a major player in the thought process, none of us are the same and we have little to no choice or control in the way our emotions affect us. Eg. Man comes home unexpectedly to find wife with a lover , his predisposed temperament will play a major roll in his thought process and actions , he could be any of the below Man 1. Gets in a rage and stabs the pair of them to death. Man 2. Turns a blind eye and pretends it never happened. Man 3. Says nothing , sneaks off, torches the wiffy`s lovers car, dobs romeo in to his wife and reveals all . Man 4. Gets off on it and hides in the cupboard while on the hand pump. Man 5. Gets suicidal and throws himself off a bridge. Man 6. Runs off never to be seen again. Man 7. Hits the booze. Man 8. Turns gay. Man 9. Buys a transit and chipper ............... Nah
  11. Were you Mario pre op ? Bob:)
  12. Small derail but don`t retailers play games with our sub conscious? Constantly bombing us with subliminal messages in an attempt to alter our minds and spending habits. A guy I know sells smells, they too sell retailers products that can influence purchasers, certain smells are used that will influence purchasers in virtually any retail outlet. http://adage.com/article/cmo-strategy/smell-money-marketers-sell-scent/296084/ Bob
  13. Nothing wrong with a landy if you are reasonably handy with a spanner and prepared to carry out your own maintenance, buy a good one and keep oil in everything that should have it and it will go on for years. Have two here that are past the 300k point that are still running well on the original engines, axles and gearboxes. One other that has had a transfer box and gearbox that is about it , other than service items and keeping the doors from falling apart there have been no issues , not bad considering the clowns that drive them. Certainly no worse on the reliability front than any of the other 4x4`s we run and are a darn site easier/cheaper to source parts for. Bob
  14. Its only bollocks news because there is not much else going on. Its not like its needed just yet, the yank planes wont be ready for another year so fixing a prop seal leak in that time wont be an issue. Bob
  15. You only need to peer into a shopping trolley thats being pushed around a supermarket by a woman sporting a Gunt to see why she is the size she is, normally packed with readymeals, crisps cakes , sweets and for some very strange reason diet coke Bob
  16. I reckon the best option is putting some really aggressive mud terrains on a spare set of rims , swap them onto the truck when needed, best of both worlds. Bob
  17. Long term property purchases are the way to go,I have not seen anything outperform property purchases over a 30 year period and the assets will always be tangible. Bob
  18. BFG mud or AT are a pretty hard act to follow, always found them good value for what they are. Bob
  19. I thought I had it all sorted but the kids have put the squeeze on me so everything is now theirs Bob
  20. So Cheggars played pop yer clogs then, sad day really after all the life battles he overcame. Bob
  21. As the saying goes “ a company is only as good as its worst employee” Bob.
  22. Neil I would have less of a problem with fines like that if the guys were sent out to execute the works in that particular way. In the companies defense I cannot believe for one moment that Bartlett`s sent those guys out there in an open public space next to a busy junction to pull that tree over with a rope tied to the back of a truck . Even if they were sent out to do it the onus of responsibility should fall on the operatives because they could of quite easily refused to do it . This one has gone wrong and even if the guys did get the sack for this they will probably find employment within the hour leaving the whole shitfest for the company to deal with, from where I am sat this was probably meant to be a dismantle that the guys took upon themselves to fell. Bob
  23. You lot have lost the plot. It must be medication time
