Roughnecks are an excellent piece of kit, some 4x4`s among them as well. Lad up the road has one and its got the tow pack with it so no trailer is needed . Mick Dundee made up a fork carriage for it which clips in where the skip goes. Like this one. Tow package

High tip skid steer dumper ticks a few boxes and will go through any garden gate, it will churn up grass though so needs ply but that's handy anyway to run it up steps.

This just about sums it . Interesting point picked up on by the coroner. Al you can check/eliminate the rotator if you put it back on the crane and connect up one pipe, take the quick release coupling off the other pipe and shove that into a drum, pull whatever lever ( one way or the other) that you use to rotate and fluid will either pump straight through the rotator (fecked) or it will rotate indicating something wrong with the crane hydraulics or a coupling fault . Back on track chaps Mr @AA Teccie (Paul) I have question . If a small arb outfit were to apply to join AA what would the costs be ?. Lets assume it based on a climber,one groundie and a labourer , also they are up to speed on the following. They have loler on their climbing kit. They keep maintenance records of kit and trucks. RAMS for all their work. Toolbox talks with hse updates. All have current tickets . All wear chequered shirts and have beards Bob

For us its not that we dont want to be ARB approved its that we have never needed to be. I cant think of an occasion where ARB approval has been specified on any contracts we have tendered for. Smas covers us for all the site clearance we do and the only reason we went with them was because its become a prerequisite .Although we are HS compliant accreditation does not seem that important outside of MOD contracts and the construction industry. Another vote for RSL products, placed an order for a thumb and it was here within a week. Not bad for a special. Mick glued it on today while I tinkered with the hydraulics.

Not a problem as such but you could be a week away from getting spares which may cause a problem if you needed them in a hurry ,they are very well made machines but a bit heavy compared to their European counterparts. Bob

I have a Morbark WTC , its got a 200hp cummins engine which is the only bit that parts are available for in the UK. All the bearings and belts etc cant be matched with generic UK parts which is a bit of a pain. It ingested a rather large lump of steel a few years ago and is out of action until I find the time to overhaul it. Will post up pics when I drag it in. Bob
