    7.5 ton iveco

We had an old steel bodied daf 7.5 ton tipper, that had a payload of 3.5 ton. I would have thought with a modern 7.5 ton truck and a lightweight body you could get near to 4 ton payload. As Chris has pointed out lockers and a highsided arb body will eat into this payload . Bob
  2. A bit of closeboard fencing, planting and other bits and pieces our landscape lads are doing at the moment .
  3. Had this little gem on hire for the week from https://www.greenplantuk.com/ , nice machine . Can feel a purchase coming on Bob
  4. In which case go for the throat Al. the blame will lay with the kit or fuel so either way you need the fuel analyzed. Alcontrols on 01492574750 will give you a report on the mix for about £200 plus vat and then you will know where to direct the small claims. Bob
  5. I suppose husky are going to lay the blame on the Aspen fuel mix, a seizure is normally blamed on the oil ratio although not always the case. I am big fan of the saws but cant say the same for their other kit like strimmers, blowers etc, the few bits and pieces we have had over the years have been a bit of a disappointment. Bob Worst Blower
  6. As the saying goes " If you don`t have big dreams and goals you`ll end up working really hard for someone that does". Bob
  7. Blair has the skin of a Rhino and Savile`s got his horn .
  8. I was nearly tempted myself Have to spoil the log goblins once in a while , dumped off at 1.30 today and wondering how long before they are gone Bob
  9. I was also watching this interview, could not believe Corbyn wants to raise the minimum wage to £10 an hour . The prick really cant see this as the economic deathknell it is, who the fuck do they think they are dumping that on employers and industry? God help us if they ever get back in , with this kind of shit and a raft of other hairbrained policies on their agenda I can see overseas investments being the UK`s biggest/only export . Bob
  10. Some climbers are only worth £300 a week while others can be on £1000 , you wont find the grand a week climbers looking for work in a job center either. Strange that Bob
  11. Will beg to differ on this. Purchase a british machine and the money stays in the country, when its fecked it goes for export and thats a win win situation as far as I am concerned. With the pound being so low against the euro decent second hand machines are very hard to come by, one machinery dealer I know does not bother to advertise them anymore, he gets top money for jamming them into a container for export without all the grief of warranties. Its not just machines either, small hand tools like a shovel, buy spear and jackson, use local suppliers . Lots of small changes make a big difference and it does not have to hurt the wallet. Bob
  12. Donk I have passed your comments on to JCB UK , will be interesting to see if they respond and what they have in the pipeline for future models. Dont ask you dont get and all that Bob
  13. Buy British buy JCB . Something we should all consider with brexit on the horizon. More than happy with my LG and others but now its going to be JCB on any new purchases. Same applies to attachments, if you look into it there are more than enough uk manufactures to choose from. Bob
  14. You got bigger balls than me Maria Sounds kind of wrong that Bob
  15. Thats the bit that wont save you from grief. TM man will set up then go sit in his truck with his feet on the dash and have a kip, its down to you to monitor wayward pedestrians and dopy motorists. You will still need a couple of lads on watch, we have our own traffic lights and I reckon I could write a book about Joe publics antics or lack of self preservation. Bob
  16. Big stump grinder ingested some peashingle through the fan, which in turn lunched the pistons/ barrels. Fan and a few of the head/barrel bolts that sheered on dismantle New fan Knackered barrels/pistons Fassan pand later new barrels, pistons, fan and gaskets
  17. Shame on you lot, found this thread two pages back IW tiltbed trailer broke a spring, not braking like it used too either. So £680 later new brake cables, damper ,bellows , jockey wheel, wheel bearing, brake linings, spring, bumpstop rubbers, some ubolts , dust caps , two new rims and a rewire.
  18. Given up with glass fronted phones, all mine have been fecked in weeks and I dont know anyone with an Iphone thats not got a cracked screen. The VKworld IP67 is the bollocks, The ring tone would wake the dead, can leave it out in the rain all weekend, battery lasts a week . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VKworld-Stone-V3-2-4-5200mAh-IP67-Waterproof-Shockproof-Dustproof-Cell-Phone-/332187655052?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10&var=541219601494 Edit: even @Al Cormack would be able to hear this thing ringing Bob
  19. Hagar the horrible was a Ginge.
  20. Graham will this include payments to James Hewitts son Prince Harry ? Another child of Beelzebub Bob
  21. All my trucks look like this, must be a lot of hitnrunnists about Surrey. Bob
  22. Daniel I guess the pension fund was invested in the company shares and went down the pan last July. Happens all to often, I would like to see pension funds like this invested/secured in government bonds as a legal requirement. Bob
  23. I would say its the stockmarket and banks, Carillion had annual revenue of over £5billion and the banks/shareholders enjoyed healthy returns until Carillion made reference to an £850 ish million impairment charge inJuly of last year ( writing off dosh owed to the company) . Chicken feed in the grand scheme of things but enough for the fairweather bankers and stock market to finish them off . Bob
