  1. My eldest nipper bought one, I hooked it up to my IW trailer and only got a mile up the road before I turned it around and swapped it for my kennel. I have never experienced a truck thats as rough to drive with a trailer up its chuff, they need to supply them with a neck brace. Way too much truck behind the rear axle, great when empty though. Bob
  2. I was trawling through some gumph on diesel resistant sealants and came across this article https://acc-silicones.com/products/adhesives/diesel-resistant-rtv-silicone-sealants If you fancy giving it a try I would be interested to know how you get on. Not cheap https://www.silmid.com/silicones/specialty-silicones/acc-as1810-black-diesel-resistant-silicone-rtv-310ml-cartridge/ Bob
  3. Instant gasket/silicone turns to shite, as @muttley9050 points out your better off with nitrile gasket. A tw tank sealed with gasket goo
  4. I Just had a squint at this and other than parting with the registration fee and keeping the details of Mrs Miggins .69 Butthole Rd, Titsbury, Berks away from prying eyes there does not seem much to do. https://government.diginomica.com/2018/01/22/gdpr-compliance-here-are-the-14-things-you-actually-need-to-do/ Extract 9. Smaller firms have less to do Smaller firms – those defined as having 250 employees or less – do not have to comply with all GDPR rules as standard. If your organisation falls into this band, there’s no need to have documentation of why personal data is being collected and processed, the information you’re storing or how long for. Smaller firms are not required to maintain a record of processing activities unless this carries a risk to the rights and freedoms of data subjects, it is a regular occurrence, or it relates to certain data like criminal convictions and offences.
  5. They`ll never take me alive! What a load of old tosh , as if the country needs more fat arses polishing chairs at our expense. feckum. Bob
  6. Depends on what you intend doing with it. Bob
  7. For the few quid they cost you cant beat the CD workshop/parts manuals , save a fortune in time and wrongly ordered parts. Nothing worse than beating your way through the traffic to gorp at a screen looking for the part to find they dont have it, then beat your way back a few days later to collect it. Just phone through the part number, job done. Bob I have printed off copies of the relevant workshop/parts manuals and laminated them to make them workshop proof.
  8. Feast your eyes on this one John, 4x4 and 45mts on an 18ton chassis with 30mts of outreach https://www.mascus.co.uk/construction/used-truck-mounted-aerial-platforms/wumag-wt-450-allrad-4x4/vjpirjtk.html
  9. Blade access run these 35mtr mewp`s on an 18 ton 4x4 truck John, Zero swing is also a bit handy working roadside https://bladeaccess.co.uk/hire/truck-mounted-platform-hire/35m-truck-mounted-platform-hire-t35at/ Bob
  10. They are not the great big lumps of old anymore Paul , I was thinking along the lines of the one below but just a bit more reach. Bob
  11. We are spending a tad too much on a regular basis hiring in 30mtr plus cherry pickers, was thinking of purchasing something in the 32-35mtr range on a 4x4 truck chassis but thy seem very thin on the ground. If anyone knows of anything along these lines that is up for grabs I would be interested. Bob
  12. Great trucks if you understand them and keep on top of the maintenance . Civvy ones with the twin wheel rear axles are 7.5 tonners. Bob
  13. Nothing wrong with helping folk in life and its got a funny way of turning around. Well done Joshua Bob
  14. As above Ben a few meters of each will always come in handy at some point. Also worth getting the proper rubber reinforced gear as opposed to some of the cheap crap that goes rock hard as soon as it gets cold. This gear is OK https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SAE-J30-R6-Unleaded-Reinforced-Rubber-Petrol-Pipe-Nitrile-Diesel-Fuel-Line-Hose/272024452250?hash=item3f55ebbc9a:m:mbKbHnXgih2MO1e3LYVkjww Bob
  15. We run a couple of these seppi`s on 3 tonners, as above you need a cab :). Worth getting a version with boot flails and one that either matches the flow rate of the machine or like the seppi comes with a variable displacement motor than can be adjusted to suit . Not the easiest thing to master because of the flow share with the machine but with patience will out perform half a dozen guys with brush cutters. Bob Edit, for obvious reasons you need to be careful where you point them, a broken flail could do some serious damage or even kill someone.
  16. 6`8" and fills up a doorway Bob
  17. Worth checking the alternator is charging, no hydraulics initiated on some models until the revs are up and charge is sensed. Bob
  18. My link was a bum steer Ian, they are a bit cheaper here and a few more bits in there too https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/59pcs-Tubeless-Tyre-Repair-Kit-Emergency-Motorcycle-Van-Car-Puncture-Repair-Case/253452436061?hash=item3b02f1425d:g:I~YAAOSwySlaMPlv
  19. On the subject of TCD how is he ? Bob
  20. How come you get all the cushy Rhody jobs Eddie ? That one looks more like a gardening job, its no wonder your machines are always immaculate. Can we swap clients ? I dont know what sort of site the OP is working on but all the ones we get are where the Rhody is the height of a house with stems the size of tree trunks and entwined in other windblown trees/uprooted stumps on terrain crisscrossed with ditches. We normally mulch/open a path through in several places with the tractor, let the 360 with rake get in there to rake/row/smash down as much as possible, back the tractor mulcher over everything possible and then fit the 360 mulching head on to finish up working along side a cutter with tracked chipper. It works well for us on the sort of work we get, the 360 mulcher would be way to slow on the larger diameter Rhody.
  21. These tyre plug kits are worth having, saved the day on many occasions including this morning There are several kits but the slimmest and least bulky are the cheap sets off ebay, spare strings are also available. Best to keep the spare strings wrapped in clingfilm or they do in time dry out. Slimline mobile kit , about a tenner on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TYRE-PUNCTURE-REPAIR-KIT-OFF-ROAD-TUBELESS-PLUGS-4X4-4WD/352126969738?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Workshop kit Pull out the nail or whatever it is, for big repairs you can stuff up to three strings in the hole Rasp out the hole with gadget supplied in the kit. Fit string in tool and coat with the slime supplied Shove in hole and draw out so both ends are visible ( two bits of string in hole) Job done, just trim off flush with knife in kit.
  22. Should still get through an acre or two a day even if its dense but well worth having a cutter with a tracked chipper working alongside the machine . If possible you are better off fitting a power rake to the 360 and rowing out the Rhody , then back a tractor/mulcher over it. One day on the tractor will mulch everything a 360 can row out in week. The big advantage is tearing out a lot of roots which in turn needs less spraying off later. Bob
  23. Re engined a whacker plate with a loncin, no problems. And built a small capstan winch with a Loncin reduction geared engine, that runs for days on end, again no problems.
  24. We are SMAS reg and have never been asked for anything else, will probably have a chat with @AA Teccie (Paul) and add in AA at some point but not sure why . SMAS is a lot easier to achieve if you employ an HS consultant. Bob
  25. Paul use a builders disc cutter with one of these blades https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PREMIER-PDP-NEW-SLEEPER-TREE-STUMP-CUTTING-TERRASAUR-BLADE-12-300MM-ESSEX/322192401797?epid=1090905519&hash=item4b0429e585:g:PuQAAOSwCcZaIYTw As it dulls off take it out and turn it, it sort of cleans itself. They are the biz on dirty wood and can handle stones/crap Bob
