  1. I've done Stihl, Husqvarna and a few jobs on cheap Ryobi or other generic shop makes and can't see how undoing screws on any of them is more awkward than any of the others. Some of the cheap ones use odd fittings like throttle cables instead of linkage which can be a pain but Stihl or Husky are mostly OK.
  2. Would that affect the running of the saw? It looks like it's from the bar oil tank.
  3. Taliban wagon every time if I had room for one
  4. Yes but how can you trust a nation that calls a battery a pile
  5. She'll not land flat on her face though
  6. Now you've made us look silly ?
  7. You can get Oregon trousers at Screwfix for £60 and I've been looking at orange wellies on eBay today for £24.95 with £7 postage.
  8. Yes you'll need a generator as well
  9. They have cameras on phones nowadays, it's like living in the future. ?

    Habitat piles?

    Or a small hill
  11. Is the blade the bar or the chain ? It's the bit that does the cutting.
  12. Why would you strip a perfectly good saw to try to fix an old clunker ? If you can hear the bearings then something is wrong with the bearings, swapping the piston and cylinder will not do anything to alleviate that problem.
  13. Sell it and get something a bit bigger if you need more power and a better chain.
  14. Will it turn with the chain removed? If not see above post.
  15. That's not his bench it's the dining table
  16. It's windy here today, gusting up to 50 mph according to forecast.
  17. My friend has a bike shop and uses the old stock 2 stroke oil in his Black and Wrecker chainsaw
  18. Just order a Walbro WT carb kit off eBay there should be one in it. £2.79 for a kit from UK supplier. Thought you were after the main pre-filter like Shavey.
  19. With your original problem did you take the oil pump drive out with the clutch and check it was properly engaged on assembly?

    Tool thefts

You don't need a permit to use a chainsaw or secure storage verified by the authorities. If you had a lockable cupboard for saws they would be a lot harder to steal.
  21. You save him the cost of cutting it up and disposing of it and you get to do the work, he gets his drive cleared at short notice. All sounds good to me
  22. Does that mean I won't get the one I ordered ? I'll cancel the sale of the house ?
  23. I didn't say they were facts Gary, just playing along with your theme from your earlier post No offence intended.
  24. Old one on gumtree and it's a Jonsereds 451EV with the s on the end. It looks very early with the metal brake handle.
  25. He probably doesn't know any of your junkie burglar mates though Gary Keep your eye on the easy tension chain system, the one I did was more of a self slackening system than anything.
