I was fascinated reading about these winches and watched a video where one man pulls a stump out with no pulleys just a straight pull, truly amazed by them now.

I used them to fix window and door frames in, no problems. Use the recommended drill size for the screw on concrete and brickwork and you can't go wrong.

I had it years ago when I was 35 yrs old recovering from TB (I'm 66 now). It was across my back and my wife had to paint some liquid on it from the Doctor (It stung). I got it again a few years ago on my head and forehead and the Doctor was concerned as it was near my eye. If it got to my eyelid I was told to go straight back to Doctors or to A&E if they were not open. It took about 3 months to clear up and I still get itching across the top of my head from the nerves as if something is crawling on it. Last year a friend of mine was complaining of a rash and I looked at it and recognised his symptoms as shingles, told him to get to the doctor and he was early enough to get tablets to combat the virus. Aqueous calamine cream is good for the rash if the itching is bothering you.

Wipe some brick acid on the transfer and leave it till it fizzes then rinse it and do it again then get round it with some 240 grit wet and dry lubricated with WD40. Check it for deep gouges after.

Never read a definite cause but it's often blamed on some kind of stress or virus.

They won't be the same people who fobbed you off you know, they'll probably be quite reasonable and understanding -
I over simplified it but in my understanding he asked about what the impulse hose does and it does all the pumping and causes the metering which is the part that is affecting the fact that his saw won't run. Apart from it being Chinese.

It's metal to metal contact with the bar where it generates friction and you wear the groove out. Any chain will get hot if you are using it.

If you saw our deep fat frier you would ask the same question. I've had to practically chisel it off the inside of the pan. When it's been through a heat cycle or two it takes some shifting if you don't do it often or straight away like you do when cooking in a frying pan. Using motor oil is not a problem just that it is dearer than chain oil so why would you ?

If it's not sticky the bottom of the bar where it's most needed will not get any because it all flings off the end of the bar. When veg oil gets hot it turns into gum, tanks need cleaning if you store the saw and some mineral oil running through after if you are standing the saw for any time.

Vacuum from the crank case sucks the diaphragm and opens the valve for fuel to enter via the needle. Is there a spare connection on your carb that the hose should connect to? Not all have a separate hose. On some it is just a hole in the face of the carb that covers a corresponding hole built into the manifold wall. Have you had the carb off and checked the diaphragm is still flexible and all the jets and channels are clear? Squirt some carb cleaner through them and clean them out, check the valve and fit a carb kit they are not expensive.

I run my 25:1 Chinese top handle saw on Aspen2 same as my Husqvarna and Stihl and it's had no problems in a couple of years. Put some decent oil in the mix and just use it.

My wife's friend bought one and didn't like the smell so she put it through a hot wash cycle. It was an unwaxed jacket after that.

Upgraded the MS181, what did you give it steroids ? That will be handy for climbing, you can prop it against a tree to stand on it

I replaced one on my niece's caravan earlier this year, I think the old rim is still in the scrap pile.

There's an old Nuffield on a patch of land near here been stood there for about 10 years.

I only have experience of the Stihl automatic chain slackener and would advise anyone to avoid them like the plague. Blame the chain if you like but we tried 3 different makes and they all did the same. It always felt as if you were tightening it to breaking point but still it loosened after 5 minutes of cutting.

Why do you need NR permission to work in a client's garden, is the bank vertical and the trees on the rail side ? Crack on and just watch where you drop stuff.

You could have picked 4 up on the forks in the time it took to fit that and get it clipped onto one trunk, seems pointless to me. I used to drive fork trucks in steel works.
