  1. Not used mine for a while now but it has always just run. It doesn't stay in adjustment, needs tweaking now to keep it in tune. The boot is soft rubber on mine so serves as a gasket. It cuts out on the over run more than anything but will restart easily then and will tick over. Hylomar will not do any harm but I would clean the carb again and give it a good blow through then set it back up from scratch.
  2. We're doomed !
  3. Is it a Hardy perennial, Laurel ?
  4. Blue sky thinking mate, you've either got it or you haven't
  5. Topper is my hero https://imgur.com/gallery/P9aT0
  6. I think the E version had tool free chain adjustment, self slackening type of thing and best avoided by anyone with a bit of common sense.
  7. Just sharpen it and don't try to make the cutters all the same length or you will waste a lot of chain. A couple shorter will not make much difference.
  8. Will it be like the laptop I bought in tesco's car park that turned out to be 2 sheets of MDF in a cardboard box ??
  9. I'm not having any of it burns that well.
  10. Let's have the video as well
  11. Mine has given sterling service over the last five years sharpening mine and a friends chains. You'd have to be pretty cack handed to break one in hours I reckon. £20 well spent I think.
  12. When you go climbing in the park take a rucksack with a cat in it and you can be rescuing it

I didn't see the rules anywhere?
  14. Buy loose tea, we use Co-op 99, it still comes in a plastic foil container inside a cardboard box though.

    Did we pass ?
  16. I notice there are still places selling hand cleaner with poly chips which are finding their way into the food chain. They are available on Amazon and other places despite the ban since January 2018. I'm not an extremist but I think these problems need addressing.
  17. I use my old 25 litre container to keep used engine oil from servicing till I have enough for a tip run to recycle it.
  18. You can store up to 30 litres but you are not allowed to carry the amount in one container. If it doesn't say they are suitable for petrol on them then assume they are not.
  19. I just clicked on an amazon link on the forum and it was redirected to a site selling similar items by viglink. I've stopped it doing this once but it's reverted itself. Can I get rid of this as I don't like browser hijackers.
  20. Contact chainsawpartsonline they do Meteor kits and might be able to source one for you.
  21. No.
  22. Don't it just, the filter was full of concrete. It was a mate doing some block paving on his drive, could you just have a look kind of thing not a regular (I hope)
  23. Cleaned a Tillotson carb out for a TS400, blown through with carb cleaner and reassembled. It wouldn't run above tickover, metering valve adjusted and now it runs well just needs warming up and final adjustment ready for more abuse and neglect.
  24. I thought garlic bread was the future.
  25. Just scanning through this and found this part interesting. Surely in this case the insurance of the party who is damaged will pay for any work so the owner is still not contributing.Whoever wants it removed will pay if they want it enough. As earlier said just be happy they are not contesting the work if it's not already been done as the thread has run for months.
