  1. @josharb87 I am slowly getting into climbing and treework, and getting more gear. However, safe gear (for climbing, life support) is expensive and I dont want to take risks with that. I do like to make gear and try making stuff in the workshop, so its to save some money and for the fun of building it Safety is more important then anything, so I wont take risks, thats why Im asking for experience with homemade gear.
  2. Does anyone has experience with a homemade bigshot? Or similar throwline-shooting-devices using rubber? I also would like to know the diameter of the rod on the head of the bigshot, thanks!

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
