    New groundie

Are you using veggie chain oil ?
  3. It was just an idea, not necessarily a good idea though :D. I have had some success cleaning stuff using one of the oven cleaning kits from Tesco, Lakeland and Wilko and other places where you get a bag to put the shelves in, pour some cleaner in with them and leave them for a couple of hours. Plastic is at your own risk I've only used it on metal.
  4. Veg oil attracts mice and rats as well Just leave them out in the garden and let it get eaten off.
  5. I have a little Nilfisk 110 that works well enough for car and bike or patio cleaning, 120 is a bit more power. It all depends on how industrial you want to get. We used to use a proper steam jenny on fork trucks when I worked for a living and that would strip paint off anything if you got too close.
  6. I've got a couple of old saws that were run on pump fuel and are now on Aspen 2. One (Stihl 036) has had a new fuel pipe and a carb kit as it was dodgy before I started using it and the other (Stihl 044) has had nothing since it had a new piston fitted as it was seized when I got it. I run my old Dynamac on Aspen 2 with no alterations but a tweak of the L screw. It says in the manual that it needs 25:1 mix but it keeps going.
  7. E clips last years just don't muller them getting them out with too big a screwdriver.
  8. I bought a couple of semi chisel from Northern arb and they have been fine. They cut and sharpen alright no problem.
  9. Never checked the oil either
  10. My 135 was from WOP as well, a friend of mine bought one a couple of weeks ago and that needed fettling as well, good price on there.
  11. That's a plan, leave your ear protectors off as well and all your problems will be solved, you'll definitely not hear any rattles anyway
  12. It's a scratching the chin emoji wondering why the elation at helping someone with a problem. Phone emoji don't show up sometimes. Why would I be giving the finger?
  13. Same thing I posted in the second post thanks. ?
  14. Sorry but earlier I meant where did you buy the saw not the driver because their PDI is a bit lacking. First thing I did was buy a spline drive to adjust my 135 as it was a pig to restart when hot and it was running weak at the top end as well I think some places send them out the shop anyhow as long as they run for two minutes without breaking. Get it used now and check it when it's run a few tanks look at the plug to see how the mixture is doing.
  15. Have you got a spline driver to adjust it with, where did you buy it from ? Never heard of any 10 tank restriction, how would it know ? I had to richen the L screw of my 135 (similar saw) to get it to start when hot. Saws are not meant to run on low revs, tick over or flat out once started.
  16. My sister's Labrador was caught chasing sheep by the Rangers at a local estate. He wasn't a year old at the time and had slipped through the fence while they were walking. They brought him back and told her off and said if she wanted him sheep aversion training they would put him in a pen with a couple of Tups to calm him down.
  17. I don't know if he's a liar but you need a lot more info about what kind of wear and over what kind of period it is occurring and what he qualifies as "lots of machines" Anything that is getting used for the job these saws are designed for is going to wear some parts.
  18. Gorga is Gypsy slang, gorger and is just anyone who is not a Romany Gypsy.
  19. Get on Hutzl Farmertec and get some replacement parts, let them pay.
  20. You can buy them with carb adjust on. Replaced a few on ms170s a while back and made sure I had the ones with h and l jets. Prolly got a stash somewhere if you want me to post you one? Thanks for the offer Bill, it's fixed now and gone back down to the farm. I saw the adjustable carbs on ebay for about £7 so they can order one of those next time it conks.
  21. The thread is disappearing down the list so I'll bring it back up. MS180 running but died in the cut and stalled. Fitted a carb kit, everything but the Welch plugs they were alright, put it back together and it was even worse if anything. Needle level looked ok but raised it a bit anyway and it's now pulling like a goodun. Why don't they have any adjustment on the carb ?
  22. What we have here is several failures to communicate. That's how I ended up with 5 chainsaws instead of paying someone to cut my tree down
  23. Killjoy?
  24. You could scratch your @rse and pick your nose at the same time as you eat your dinner, just don't forget which hands your knife and fork are in ?
  25. Two is plenty for anybody
