  1. Speak of the devil...... Hello there. I have one and love it. Well once Ed corrected my bodged attempt at tuning. I run it on a 12" bar and it's nicely balanced. It was £385 new from FR jones.
  2. [quote=TheHungrySquirrel;1346580. A quick one for you what size rope are you running on the zz? I'm using 11.7mm Yale hedera. Very nice rope, and I was told it's the same as Yale bluetongue apart from colour which is a nice shade of green. In reply to an earlier comment about sudden drops, I've had a a few when a branch or even I catch the top link. It just keeps you on your toes.
  3. I have a zigzag 3, I love it. I will be trying lockjack when it comes to replacing it as the ZZ is quite a long unit and you have to be careful when near a branch etc that you don't bend the zigzag part of it as I believe that's what could cause most of the cracks.
  4. Accidentally. After using it I went to hang it off the strop but the Crab was knackered and hadn't clicked shut so i now have a shiney new screw gate.
  5. Will be visiting next week, staying between Weston and Burnham. Will be sending kids into the caves and at wookey
  6. A little vid to add to my review https://instagram.com/p/6Xvi2-DSXx/
  7. Pop down to a discount shop of your choosing and get some football training cones. When a lawn turns from green and brown to fluorescent orange they usually come out
  8. Been trailing a Stihl MSA 160t. Very impressed I must say. The battery (AP115) has lasted well and it was cutting ash and beech upto bar length of 12" weight wise it feels like the 193t I brought the other month. (Just looked at stats 3.5kg with battery) It was nice not to wear ear defenders all day until we chipped the brash. Looking at the sums (all approx) £260 saw £200 two batteries £60 charger £520 total so puts it around 201t price however your not paying out for fuel and 2 stroke which saves around £400pa so it almost pays for itself in a year, with the health benefit of no fumes And I can knock out a small mushroom to test it ripping. Again did reasonably well
  9. Another carving to add to my list.
  10. Have you considered an old school waxed jacket? Should stand up to a beating and can be reproofed when necessary
  11. I went shopping in them earlier. To break them in a bit first 😉
  12. It's like Christmas when I get back from work and have boxes waiting. Thanks FR Jones
  13. Just remember with a bigger truck think about where a bin lorry or fire engine can get
  14. I would like a 12t with suitable crane. A tracked chipper to crane on/off and a decent chipbox
  15. http://www.goldprice.org Billion is a bit overpriced at the moment according to gold price. You have to set the drop down menus to GBP and grams
  16. Could be cooking method. If microwaved with a lid the steam runs back into the beans. Do it old school low and slow not the hob, it reduces the juice whilst heating
  17. Heavy duty block pavers?
  18. And a link I found on t'interweb http://toomanyadapters.com/how-to-remove-people-travel-photos-photoshop/
  19. Don't hold me to it as I've never done it. However should you want people less pictures. There's a trick with photoshop where you take take several pics the put them in Photoshop and choice median(I think)
  20. I wonder what their Stihl/husky debate equivalent will be?
  21. Well I'm quite excited, I've just finished retained fire service training last week, I also made a phonecall to a company last Monday, got an interview yesterday and start tomorrow. It'll be nice to get into tree surgery again after a 6 week break.
  22. Take cash for stuff you need. Need a cash machine for stuff you want
  23. Curtesy of the lovely Rachel Riley
  24. Got weighed the other month for retained firefighter training 5'11 3/4" 99kg which I believe is 16st. I'm a tad over 20stone in full fire kit and BA
