1. Would be a beast to tow mind lol
2. If the suspension is directly mounted its probably a torsion axle Blue is rubber and the wheel is attached to the inner bar. Max width now 2.55m (8') length 7m (23') For size comparison a Passat (2015) external dimensions are Width 1.8m (6') Length 4.7m (15'6") So you could, dependant on suspension have quite a low trailer bed with which you could fit a car between the wheels
3. Thanks spud. The screws come in a pack of 10. I used 2
4. The only numbers on the doge are, 1129 A I'll text Eddy_t as he is good with part numbers
5. Found screws. Pm address and I'll send them over as a Xmas present lol. Will go and look at saw in a min
6. Can't see serial number and not taking bar off at this time of night lol Still looking for screws. May be under my bed. I'm heading up in a min so will look when I'm checking for monsters
7. Yes I ordered some. Will look for a serial number They don't come with screws so order some unless I can find the spares I have Dogs and screws about £12
8. Tipping extra cab pickup towing chipper and 3.5ton tow capacity pickup carrying tools and big tipping trailer If you get a turntable chipper back the trailer to the chipper, fill the pickup spin the spout and fill the trailer. About 4ton of legal chip removal on b+e license
9. Transits may hold more but if DVSA catch you is it worth the fine and aggro?
10. Just some quick back of envelope sums. I've done the sums for 3' high greedy board/box. ~Not accounting for box weight or tools~ Transit single cab payload 1175kg Ranger double cab payload 1340kg Transit l3.2 (10.5') w2.07 (6.79') h914 (3') = 6m3 Ranger l1.54 (5.08') w1.52 (4.98') h914 (3') = 2.15m3 Assuming woodchip weighs around 300kgm3 Transit = 1800kg (625kg overloaded) Ranger = 645kg (695kg underweight) Let's do sums for a more realistic 5' high box on a transit that makes a full load of chip 3028kg. (1,853kg overweight)
11. I live in the national forest and they give 2 free trees to residents that apply. I get a hazel and something. I've had wild pear, rowan and cherry as the second choice I had my first probably 12 years ago, missed/forgot a few (before Facebook pages to remind me lol) missed 6 years as I was away with the Royal Navy then last year I had my 2 and got some more this year to collect soon. I got towards the end of the day and take any spares if they're going.
12. I've done it once, but it almost dislocated my shoulder
13. I like the look of the electric start on the 450
14. Have you thought about a silky? Ridiculously sharp and no training required. Although no less care is required as it wouldn't take much searching to find a multitude of silky bite pics. I have a curved zubat 330mm. When it was new I would quite happily cut upto 8" now it's two years old and almost blunt (to me) I still can cut 3" without much bother. I'd consider a straight blade if I was doing predominantly felling with it. http://www.silkysaws.com/Silky_Saws/Straight-Saws
15. If your axe is like ours was, it wouldn't matter which way round you used it. That was till I took a file to it, now I can shave with it before drill night
16. Im keeping quiet 🚒💦🍃
17. I gained my cs39 using a rear handle 200. If anything it promoted better work positioning and I prefer to use a rear handle on a pole.
18. Found some wall paper I like. I'll have to buy green paint, come spring lol
19. I got some off eBay. There's been a few threads with titles http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=93072 Treesource does some too http://www.treesource.co.uk
20. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=59551 Good idea but how much weight is in that? It'll have to be taken off payload
21. All this talk of books had had me spending my pennies I'm going to have to buy a shelf as well now
22. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=70135 hope this helps. The next task is to try and find some of them. Some of them there's not many about so big $bucks$ lol
23. I'm ok. Plodding on waiting for the lottery win. Which I won't get as I have no money to put it on lol
24. Can I get a bigger bandage?? The cut is only 3/4" long. I got hit in the face as the chipper snatched the branch.
25. Suppose it's the same as the zigzag. They crack but mine is fine.
