  1. The local used pickup sale place swaps out the engine for a 2.7 it save the warranty hassle he told me. Not sure how it'd work with insurance
  2. That's a good idea. I've seen a lot of long poles but getting them back is the problem
  3. Keeps me in work
  4. Can't believe this thread slipped under my radar. Now I'm going to keep an eye on it. I'm looking to get set up with traditional wood working kit. I've got metal in the garage that need making into a draw knife and froe. Once that's done I can set to making a shave horse and bits for the pole lathe. I keep eyeing up 'poles'. Can I ask what length you use?
  5. I believe you need a few buds to become roots and enough wood to hold the sugars/starches required for the buds to root.
  6. Sorry forgot the link http://www.gclm.co.uk
  7. Try the company I work at. The robocut will eat most of it and one of us can whip out the bigger ones with a saw
  8. I'd pay $500 to see your face when the check in girl tells you the excess baggage fee
  9. Just put it in after watching Titchmarsh on capability Brown. "Since it is denied us to live long, let us do something to show we have lived" Lancelot capability Brown

  13. Loads of potential hobbies no time or money to do them.
  14. Not being daft but for the cost surely it's better to do the license and then you know your safe and you can get a bigger chipper which is more effective pulls side branches though without sneding and cope better with hawthorn etc My local provider charge £294 for 4hour block including test £659 for 4 sessions and test I did the £294 as I already tow which breaks down to (over a year) about £1.30 a day. The 4 session course is only £2.92 a day. I bet a lot of members spend more than that on coffee/energy drinks/McDonald's
  15. I used to use one the same as the bottom one. The claw on top is good for levering after cutting most the way though. I think it's called a fencing axe
  16. Wholetime firefighter instead of retained or Underwater videographer
  17. Makes me think of the quote "train your staff well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough they want to stay" or something along them lines
  18. Here's a review from the company I work at. It's got a vid of the saw being used on around 10" oak. After felling the oak with a petrol saw I broke down the crown with the battery saw. It did well and started to log it up from the thin end must have got almost 1/3 the way along the stem. http://gclm.co.uk/cordless-arborist-chainsaw-msa-160-t-review/
  19. This is from my thread a few week ago
  20. Vikings used lime when over here to make shields
  21. I gave it a try to say I've done it. Didn't get far lol
  22. I'm based in South Derbyshire, but work for someone. That was at Wetherby when we took stumpgrinder for a service
  23. Don't know when the offer ends hope it helps
