  1. It's CDO. It still means the same but at least it's in the right order
  2. I want one if/when I get a truck. Plus combined with an arb trolley some big timber can be extracted for use as milling/carving also reduces cleanup on site. You lose a little over 200kg of payload though http://www.hiab.co.uk/default.asp?productGroupId=34343&productId=34352&docId=21385&tab=description
  3. Thanks for the warning Tom Yale but I needed to put my zigzag on (and I'm a little odd as I like untangling rope )
  4. They used to use a tree/branch around 8"diameter quarter it and shave into bows. That'll give you the heartwood back and sapwood front.
  5. The great variables of tree work quoting lol
  6. When I did carpentry years ago the instructor was very meticulous about tidying dust and told us about the explosive tendencies. This put it into perspective.
  7. Thank you. I'll look at new clutches
  8. When it's damp put down boards. Before
  9. Not used on larger line
  10. I thought that but it works in the mod video
  11. Looks more secure than a normal pickup cover. Most can be popped open with a screwdriver etc
  12. I got it all mounted on my harness thinking it could be the angle of line going into the positioner but it still slips. What am I doing wrong??
  13. A highways agency warning said anyone travelling in icy conditions should take a shovel, blankets, sleeping bag, extra clothing, including a scarf, hat, gloves, 24 hour supply of food and drink, de-icer, rock salt, torch, tow rope, petrol can, first aid kit and jump leads. I looked a right Prat on the bus this morning.
  14. Lol. What friction device is everyone using? I have a art positioner which doesn't seem to be holding
  15. It's arrived 😃 modded and milked while the kids watched Maleficent and coloured in (not sure now I've done it 😔)
  16. Although you must take care you don't learn anything in your comfort zone.
  17. Got my self some new gloves for climbing. Will let you know how they get on next week. From http://www.twwholesale.co.uk the have a shop between home and work.
  18. Couldn't believe my eyes when we got to site today. The builders had cut back into the embankment to make space for a garage.
  19. Lovely balance
  20. Good for you. National minimum wage is £52per day What the day rate for a builder, electrician or gas man/woman? Arb work comes with thousands worth or trying and kit but still get paid pittance
  21. Did that on my rigging assessment. Luckily my secondary was tight so I didn't move much.
  22. Usually 1 - 2 hours a day sometimes less than 1/2hour. Depends on how interesting your all being lol
  23. Happy after a message I got today. I won the Kingswood training services photo competition.
  24. I agree there is some good information in the blogs.
  25. I look at these occasional, I think there a little overpriced aimed more at the city folk looking for a weekend retreat/playground Also a lot of big wood blocks. Looks like they bought a wood and split into smaller bits http://www.woodlands.co.uk http://www.woods4sale.co.uk
