  1. I say out. What do we get from them?? Trade? We trade with America and China amongst others without being in Union with them. Free movement? I know English who have moved to Australia, NZ, and Caribbean again no union with them. Years ago we did have the union and England owned most of the world.
  2. πr²h = pi (3.142) x radius squared x height. 3.142 x .38 x .38 x 12= 5.44m3
  3. I believe the terminology is native and naturalised. From wiki Native species are considered to be species which are today present in the region in question, and have been continuously present in that region since a certain period of time. When applied to Britain and Ireland, three possible definitions of this time constraint are: A species that colonised these islands during the retreat of ice at the end of the last ice age A species that was present in these islands when the English Channel was created and the land bridge between Britain and continental Europe was flooded A species that has colonised without human assistance; in some cases this is uncertain.
  4. Most weather forecasts come via the met office which is rather vague and told with sweeping arms across the map. When I did my sailing course, they use http://www.XCweather.co.uk it shows slightly different weather between two places near each other, which is goo as wind and cloud change
  5. Road rash 3d on playstation. Or Skyrim / farcry 3 / red dead redemption / GTA 4 on Xbox 360. Not had chance to try GTA 5 yet but once I do I bet that'll be added to the list. Defiantly not FIFA I'd rather see if I could stop a running chain with my tongue.
  6. I did my climbing course and the chogging down part of my rigging course with a rear handle 200 I find a rear handle more comfy on a pole
  7. Bacon butty. Only thing I have smiled at today.
  8. Ivy doesn't tend to kill trees. If you look at a line of trees with ivy around them, it will grow up some and not others, even of the same species. A wise mans theory I got told was that trees in decline give off a pheromone that ivy pick up on. If you were ivy would you struggle to compete with the shade of the tree or one that is in decline so you get more and more light. People often see ivy covered dead trees and put two and two together
  9. Another good thing is with them being full leather you can polish/ dubin them to keep them waterproof
  10. I've had mine for almost a year with no problems. That's with walking around on ballast and embankments at the side of railways also climbing
  11. 👍I'll add it to my wish list then.
  12. What's that like on fuel. I saw one the other day and thought it'd make a good arb truck
  13. To save nose weight could the crane not be mounted in the middle above the axle. Anyone thought of that? If mounted sideways you should still get a good length of log on
  14. Just sold one on eBay. There good if you can reverse through skill or space.
  15. I've tried copying the link to petzl but it's how showing not recognised. I've seen one as a lad on course had split his. If I remember right it took 14kn to snap the crack open.
  16. Mk2 has the splitting link problem. 2 in 1000 I think. Search zigzag for thread on subject. I climb on one and am happy to do so. Just double check it before use
  17. Try a bit of cheap roll mat under your trousers. Should get quite a few strips say 5-6" wide
  18. I'd love one, but imagine getting out of one when you need a wee in the dead of night. Even worse if you've have a drink or two 🍺🍻
  19. Sounds like you got some good lads lol
  20. I'm going to get an eye mask and cape then protect the tree surgeons of England from scrotes lol
  21. The spikes should find their way into the lay of the braid and not actually cut or damage the rope
  22. 100meter sprint to finish the day. Heard a window pop and we saw the strimmer being taken out the van. His mate made off on a motorbike but the coss and I caught the scrote. Just as we jumped on him (officially read restrained) a unmarked police car came round the corner. A guy in a suit gets out and I'm shouting call the police he replys "I am the police" then there are about 5 cars around us and they take him in. The bike he was on was stolen last night.
  23. Nice to see you all looking well and busy. I popped in and saw Charlie, who told me about the vega plus. Now I have another item to add to my shopping list.
  24. I have used and want to get a hand accender. Used with a loop to ones left foot and a pantin on the right you should fly up the rope. I'm on double rope using zigzag once a few meters up / decent groundy to hold some tension in it'll all self feed
  25. If a tree needed removing I wouldn't like to do it or stump grind.
