  1. On the plus side he's got a bar to cut round corners 😃
  2. Outboard step cut on branch about 4" which twisted as it came away. It lightened my cut of the day by £60 for a new bar and chain, as it was my mates saw😥
  3. I thought that, but they have a 10year manufacturers warranty
  4. Choice of loppers. Easy to change with the multi change handle.
  5. AUS are good but at £50per pole +whatever for attachments it soon adds up. I've just got onto WOLF Garten they have a telescopic pole 2.2m-4m for £49.99 then £39.99 for the saw head you can clear upto 6ish meters.
  6. Hang in there. It's that time of year loads set up to take advantage of the warmer weather as people start going back into the gardens and notice the trees are bigger lol
  7. I think it's about 10 when they do their cycling proficiency test. After that they ride on the road. I tell my lad to ride on the path unless there are people about.
  8. Picked up some secateurs for an apple pruning tomorrow. They feel nice in my hand and don't have a spring to disappear. I used their polesaw system the other day and was impressed. It's on offer at masseys for £50 so a lot cheaper than the silky equivalent.
  9. Do you do more arb than forestry? I read many threads looking for loopholes and grey areas etc. Is it worth the hassle and fines if 'they' decide the grey is black and white
  10. I wonder how much difference decent tyres would make. We have normal tyres on a canter and that to is useless with some mud
  11. Carved an owl using my mums £80 saw from screwfix. Normal bar and full chisel chain. I know it's not great but it's only my second.
  12. We buy things we don't need, with money we don't have, to impress people we don't like
  13. Just got hedera. Was going for blue tongue due to good recommendations through different thread, however it was out of stock. Hedera is the same construction but different colour which i like better than (IMO) bluetongue
  14. Done. Although now I want a barbecue
  15. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kernmantle_rope
  16. Maybe like this http://m.instructables.com/id/Viking-beer-mug-no-power-tools-no-tools-at-all/?ALLSTEPS
  17. Only a dead fish goes with the flow
  18. Voted
  19. Give Kingswood a call. I can't recommend them enough and they can give you some options http://www.kingswoodtraining.com
  20. More uses more ££$$
  21. You could probably charge more if its tri-purpose. I'm thinking portable shade should it ever get sunny
  22. For distributing leaflets has anyone thought of speaking direct to the postie. He might be happy for a couple of quid 'extra' since he has to visit almost every house
  23. 👍 cheers saved me typing it out
  24. I have a pair of ESS glasses from when I was in the navy. Good as you can interchange the lenses -clear, yellow for low light and smoked for sunny. You can pic them up from eBay http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=331466786221
