  1. Did some work on highways in summer and every day they were at least 5 smashed cones I'd be happy to do retesting now (I'm almost 32) unfortunately I believe if someone's license was revoked quite a few would still drive.
  2. When working out costs don't forget to add up the time at the the yard before & after the job and the time it takes to quote it, also factor in time for maintaining kit
  3. Come on everyone. Let's beat last years total of £8625 or even better 2013 of over £10000 Remember it ends around lunchtime on Friday (15th)
  4. I should be fine. I had a 18" 2-3yr hazel I had planted about 2004. My son snapped it to 1" height with a football, It came back to a foot in height then we moved and it lived in a bucket for 2 years. And again we moved. I planted it in the back lawn and my brother 'power coppiced' it while he was mowing as I was away with the navy. Now it's in the front garden at about 5-6 foot high.
  5. How much long is it going to run? Wouldn't mind getting some more towards the end.
  6. Or you could specialise in maples lol
  7. Is that because your more ace than them?
  8. Don't you know by now that countryfile is for the city dwellers to maintain a nice green an fluffy look to the 'sticks'.
  9. Not my idea, but for show/ easy access If for security lots of blood big chains bike locks etc
  10. Not throw away mentality. Should look after kit and I've used saws over 10yrs old no problems. Just write it off over the 2years
  11. Exactly. If you can't afford a new saw every now and again your business plan needs looking at. Write them off over 2 years then any extra years is money in the bank. For example Stihl ms 362 18" bar = £613.20 2yrs working days = 450 613/450 = £1.36 per day when you look at it like that
  12. Correct me if wrong but isn't it it already legal to own guns with a license just like the states. It's the open carry we don't do.
  13. Take them both on a decent test drive. I can't get on with the Nissans seat/driving position. I can't speak of the Isuzu but the canter is what I compared it to
  14. Put a bit of leccy tape round the handle as a new sight line
  15. My mum brought me a 600 the other day and the kids wanted a go. My 6 year old did actually spin lol
  16. I line up the chainsaw handle with the end of the log. All constant (ish) lengths of around 8"
  17. Flat file? And sharpening steel
  18. Have you considered hiring a tracked chipper? Here's an example of cost http://www.forestequipment.co.uk/hire/
