    Countryfile.

Just wait for the comments using the saw one handed.😄
  2. I use the arbor tech turbo plane. It's not for the faint hearted but can remove a serious amount of wood quickly.
  3. Where's Miss Marple when you need her. 😊
  4. It cost me £140 around 6 years ago to get a disconnect/reconnect, but that was when they answered the phone. It's Openreach you need to contact. Good luck getting to speak to someone.
  5. I won't even offer my services to friends or family for free, they are the worst at 'can you just', so they are definitely not using my tools.
  6. Another one for Lavazza, sainsbury's basics ground coffee is nice, also drink blue mountain from Jamaica when I can get it. Instant coffee for me is a no.
  7. Chalk marks on a gate, fence or on the floor close to a property is another marker. Also a they have been known to use stones, rocks etc as markers. They do get up to skullduggery on their own door step.
  8. If anyone else is thinking of going big there is a Scammel tipper with hijab 6x6 with diff lock, 26 ton I think on a well known auction site. I could see you Billy smoking around in that.
  9. I don't think you'll find many owning up to using red when they should be running on white. 😉
  10. Bromley used to be real easy to with. I suppose this is the cost of austerity.
  11. Bartletts are a pretty big firm. I went up against Gristwood & Toms some years ago for a local council contract when I had aspirations of grandeur. They got it, which is when I decided I couldn't be bothered to waste my time competing with the big boys.
  12. This one was un claimable. ATTACH]176492[/ATTACH]
  13. Never been a pain using builders bags, you lay the bag flat, stack the brash & roll it up & carry it under arm through the house.
  14. When you work in London through the house is usually the only option. Ask the homeowner to cover up door frames, radiators etc, use builder bags to carry brash out, turn up with sheets to cover the floor & most importantly let the customer know that it will be messy & you are not responsible for chipped paint etc.
  15. Very good question, as stated completely underrated timber. I milled some around three years ago, green, & made a bench for my garden, didn't treat it & it has no splits or cracks & virtually no resin came out. If you have some use it.
  16. Definitely don't use it in four wheel drive all the time on tarmac unless you have full time 4x4. Most 4x4's are designed to use the four wheel drive on sand, mud, snow etc & should be driven in two wheel drive on tarmac, the drive is provided by the rear axle. You will eventually knacker your drive train in 4x4 on tarmac. I won't bore you with the tech side of what happens but trust me its costly.
  17. Knowing how & what to charge for a job is fundamental to running a business, among other things. If you have to ask then maybe you are not ready to run a team yet.
  18. My best for felling has to be MS660 with a 42" bar, not many trees you can't fell with a bar that long.

    Free logs

Hi Rich, I don't think he can go in the lez if he still has his landy.

    Free logs

Hello All Aspects, I don't think it would fill a grab loader, probably half fill.

    Free logs

We are dismantling a mature Sycamore in Erith, Kent this week if anybody is interested. Emergency job hence the short notice & have no time to work out the volume as job came in late today. Free to anybody who can collect on wednesday 17th December. PM me if interested.
  22. I would like to thank Rob D for the prompt delivery of my new Sugihara bar & chain which arrived today. Excellent service & a pleasure doing business. Tis a thing of beauty.
  23. Hello Python, my advice (not meaning to upset people) would be to not take on board any of these posts as they are old fashioned & antiquated, but to enlist the services of a professional dog behaviourist (not a dog trainer). Times have moved on since Barbara Woodhouse & her cruel training methods. There is a reason in your dogs history why it is food aggressive & it is solvable, don't be the next person to let this dog down.
  24. I like the line at the bottom of the ad " by far the cheapest way to get logs" I think not, customers pay me to take their logs away (once we've dismantled it)
  25. Didn't mean to come across as argumentative, fingers crossed for you hp.
