  1. the van is an x reg camera default date 2000 and who can blame him for wanting payment up front before the buyer removes the wood! it dont look the best wood to process but somebody local with a tractor & bulk trailer would make a few bob on it!
  2. seen a couple of other people who are useing this method & they seem to think it works well! might be trying it my self in the next year or 2
  3. this guy advertises on ebay he is not far from me i have bought several blades off him his number is 05601148479 the number looks odd but it is his correct number & what i get hold of him on!

  6. round up once dead rotovate in why romove good top soil to replace it with more???? as said above once the rotovator has gone over 2 or 3 times theres nothing of the old lawn left!!! just rake it out level compact & lay new turf!! you will want to rotovate the ground to help with drianage!! also if the ground is mainly clay rotovate in some sharp sand!!
  7. ditto!!!!!!! remember lifes not easy!!!!!
  8. i have a tcp ht500 there uk made are strong reliable (kubota engine) tough as old boots & the best tracked barrow i have ever owned (used to be in plant hire had 20 track barrows of various makes) or used! there reasonablely priced from new & parts are easy to get hold of & again reasonably priced!! i had mine back into there leeds branch for a bit of refurb work & the cost of having the work done by them was cheaper than paying my own plant fitter! just goolgeld it for pics vid etc this is first vid that came up!
  9. I have to pay for everything up front! Dosent matter what you are buying or from who everybody wants cash up front! I hate it when people say can I pay you tomorrow or can I pay next week when they say this I always hear in my mind can i pay on the tenth of never! Just pay up front there's cash points all over the place in every town in the country so cash is available I don't come over arsey like the guy in question I just advise that I would prefer payment up front or a deposit to secure the deal & then settle the rest of the bill on collection! If you don't like the guys attitude just pay what you owe & don't deal with him again! Like most things in life it is easily sorted!!!
  10. look at at a week van hire! its better to hire a van than loose customers!!!
  11. there little buggers once they get on a scent theres no stopping them!!!!
  12. easy conversion!!! it dont matter if the chassis rails dont meet up exactly you can make plates to suit to make it fit!!!! just take your time measure everything 4 or 5 times!!! i started by seperating the tipper body from its chassis i then cut the chassis & fitted it to the truck & when i was happy i then started on modifiying the body!! i have done 2 now fist was a cabstar body on a d21 pick up & then i cut a transit sized body down to fit a hilux!!! am thinking of doing a landy next!!!
  13. the joy of owning a mini digger!!!! either secret plate off behind seat or side panel & rad off & anything else in the way off!!!!! be prepared for scraped knuckles!!!!!
  14. you are right ian i`m in same area as you (i was on same stump grinder course as you at askham bryan a couple of years ago!!!) everywhere you go round here theres a sign offering split logs!! there all green! & most are selling them in m3 builders bags!!! you know the ones which hold half a meter!!!!! i`v sold logs from being 16 & have always sold them by word of mouth!! they must be good as my customers keep coming back! & every year i get more customers!! and the new customers all tell me that they have been sold green logs by somebody else who is local!!!

    ad words??

ours went from 20 odd to thirty quid a month bills to 100 to 150 quid a month bills with no extra calls i ended up setting a limit of 35 quid & it was met within the first 2 or 3 days so i ended up cancelling it as i was disilusioned with it aswell!! but i thought it was really good to start with!!!
  17. bugger was passing north ferriby yesterday with truck & trailer could have moved most of it!!! story of my life a day late & a doller short!!! (or day early in this case)
  18. its a cabstar copy!! where abouts in the country is it based??? i`m always interested in a project or a breaker for parts for other things!!!!!
  19. i had twin tanks on my mog one with red one with white & a manual change over valve in the cab! was running on white on the road then when get on site change over to red so my filters will have been stained!! i think they would be hard pressed to prove what diesel i was running on & where!!! as per the haulage as i understand it (which might not be right) is that the machine can go to site do its job but not carry materials there (you could carry say a mini digger there as thats classed as equipment to do the job) & then on the homeward bound journey you can carry home the timber from a forestry job back to your yard! as that is classed as forestry & there for can also run on red diesel! (but we are not debating that) but you can not move timber from your yard to a customers yard as that is classed as haulage & requires an o licence! that above could be totally wrong but it is what i have been told is how the unclear laws regarding this mater stand & is how i worked when i had my mog! i was never stopped so can not be sure i was right!!
  20. BBC iPlayer - BBC News at Ten: 07/02/2013 fast forward to about 24 mins!
  21. we had a similar problem on a piece of land i rented a few years ago the community people were wandering in to the woods for logs & doing spritual belief stuff!! a good stock fence on longer posts soon stopped this!! i put 3 strands of barb on there side one strand on top of the posts & 2 strands on our side!! it cost a few bob on barb but it was bloody impossibe to climb over & did the job a treat!
  22. they are piped up as standard for a third sevice!
  23. another big thumbs up for northern track!!! great products!!!!
  24. i look at it as it has cost you a bit of money & time! the price of cord is going up the price of delivery is going up personally id sit on it for you own log sales unless you are in need of some cash to cover expeses!!
