The 280 isnt as good as the 2510, dont believe everything you read:001_smile: As you say horses for courses, I wouldnt bother with the ms150 or the 2510 tbh with the stihl chain. I would prefer a 540 any day but the 2510 with the oregon chain is a great little machine. Then again I never did like using handsaws:001_smile:

Have you tried using the oregon chain? The stihl chain makes a finer neater cut but tbh thats about it, the 2510 is more than powerful enough not to need the tiny stihl chain. To say you need to throw the bar and chain away and buy a stihl ms150 setup is nonsense (I know you havent said that Joe) I can sell a 2511 with a 1/4" stihl setup but I dont think its worth the effort. The best way is to drill the bar then you can buy a standard size stihl chain rather than have to get one made up. Thats what we did and its easy enough to do. Its good that it is an option though and no doubt will suit some types of people better.

I would have thought it the same Oregon 1/4" chain as fitted to the 2510 as there aren't any other chain manufactures creating the same as the stihl 150 that I'm aware of. Tbh I tried the stihl chain and thought it was worse. It's ok for the ms150 as it's fairly under powered but the 2510 ran better and cut quicker with the Oregon chain imo.

I dont assume anything anymore with new products:laugh1: We have had to change descriptions and images so many times due to the manufactures having messed about with different specs before the production run etc. I'm hoping there have been more changes than I can see in the photo in regards to the attachment points.

We do take pre orders but it's a no payment up front. We put you next on the list and contact you as soon as they are available. Just pm me or send some contact details to [email protected] I don't even know if the picture posted up is the correct one, it was hard enough finding the correct photo for the 2510 as nearly all of them used the old 3/8 bar. I would have thought it a priority to get them to the apf, the echo stand should at the very least have some for display purposes.

Just a bit of information to say the new Echo CS2511TES is on its way to the UK and should be here this/next week. I dont have any details on the changes or specifications but we will be updating them on the web site as soon as we have any further information so please check the link below Echo CS2511TES Chainsaw No doubt it will take a bit of time for the UK Echo supplier to get them sorted and shipped out the dealers so im guessing we should see some in the shop within a fortnight.

Yes sorry you're right, the part numbers change to the ones you described when I put them through the husky web order.

The first bit of that made no sense at all so ignore! Yes they do a 3/8 in the small mount bar, part numbers are 15" 508 91 41-56 16" 508 91 41-60 18" 508 91 41-68 20" 510 15 35-72 The part numbers are the same as the old bar type. I wont have any in stock but as a guide RRP is £45-£55 EX VAT

I will check but im fairly sure its just the small bar mount. Could be wrong as the US market uses the larger mount. getting the right part number is usually the tricky bit.

Yes no problem, it will be the msa 31snr. If you are going to order email [email protected] and just say you want the 31snr for the tech forest helmet mention your surname as a reference and then place the order through the web site. In regards to measuring chest size, do your best impressing the girls stand to attention pose.

If you are towards the smaller end of the scale ie a small /medium I would go for the small. Depends if its a flashing rudolph jumper tbh as It can make a fair bit of difference due to the sticky out leds. Don't quote me or hold me to the above as some people are just too fussy to accommodate

Just looking for a bit of feedback on how people are getting on with the new husqvarna x force bar. They have been selling well but mainly online so haven't got much on hands feedback. A link below for those who haven't seen them, also available in 3/8 Husqvarna x force Guidebar 1.5mm gauge, .325 pitch 346XP, 445, 455, 545, 550XP, 560XP We should have stock of the new x force chain over the next couple of weeks. Only available in the H30 spec ie .325 1.3mm for now but will be expanding the range soon. Some big claims being made with the new chain but I will get some specs before posting them up.

Without being biased as we do sell them, the feedback is 100% positive. We have tried and tested them ourselves for the past 10 months and they are still up to the job of being waterproof. They don't make you sweat to death either.

I will have another check of them tomorrow but some bad scoring above the exhaust port and the acid just doesnt seem to work as well as it does on the stihl cylinders. I have 2 550xp cylinders that have gone down while using aspen, one 560xp due to a crank bearing and a 560xp due to no 2 stroke. Stihl 441 and 260 due to bad fuel came up lovely with not much effort. I was just thinking the autotune had kept the saws running better than a standard carb would hence more/severe damage.

I don't seem to have much success in salvaging cylinders on the 550xp or 560xp saws. Is it just me, the owners running the saw to death or are the new husky cylinders bores not as tough as the old ones/mahle cylinders? Either the chrome ends up pitted or there are too many scores in the wrong place.

I think your dealer and adw are correct. What have you done to that chain?! I've reused many a thrown chain but that is scrap.

As already mentioned the husky 135 is a great little saw and should come in around your budget. My advice, don't buy off the internet, call into your local dealer to pick up some advice on using the saw and the correct ppe. It's worth a lot more than saving a few pounds by shopping online.

Getting the clutch off is the hardest thing. Lots of sharp whacks while the plug and decompressor are doing their job or an impact wrench help. There have been some changes on the oil pump but I think that has been over twelve months ago so might not affect your one. If it is a dodgy pump then make sure you do get a warranty claim out of it as they arent that cheap of an item and you will need to replace the worm gear too.

Have had that a few times, every time paypal has been on our side. If it's tracked and signed for your case is usually 100% secure Its people giving out their paypal information, getting their accounts hacked then some scum bag using it to buy on ebay. The scum bag and the buyer always wins but sometimes we dont have to lose out if we do it right. -
If the pump is blocked due to sawdust etc then yes it isnt a warranty problem and its your wrong doing (no offense its just the way Im wording it) If the pump has failed due to a manufacturing defect then sure it will be replaced under warranty.

Well it wont be a warranty job if its a plugged pump or stripped worm due to a dirty filter etc.

Check the worm drive thread is OK. Its a cheap fix.
