  1. Thanks. Ill look into it although our past dealings with Amazon aren't very good from memory. Its an awful platform to sell on so we ditched it.
  2. They have rejected all the claims even though we escalated them. We still do use RM, you cant send everything with DPD, UPS, DHL,parcelforce, fedex etc as they are just too expensive to use for small items. Our postage charge would probably be a round £10 for every order. Thousands of parcels a month soon adds up.
  3. Thanks It looks like they have discontinued the 300 and 500 charger. I will pass the info on to Husky, they really to need to make it clear that you need a new charger for those batteries. It will certainly put more customers off from moving over to battery products when there are issues like this.
  4. I thought the same. I would have expected older charger to still charge the 540 but at a slower rate. I would look into it but tbh ica. If the technical info isnt forwarded onto to dealers before the release of these products then I give up. Manufactures are always changing their products and they very rarely relay the info over to us. One day you are selling a certain item, the next day it looks completely different and costs 50% more.
  5. Looks like RM are going to stiff us good and proper. With the cost of transactions fees, sale and refund, postage costs, time and the cost of the lost items its not been a very festive season at all. Its the same scenario with fraudulent card purchases, the merchant looses out and everyone else just gets on with their day except for Mr Visa/Mastercard who ends up profiting. RM have done quite well out of this, charged us for postage, probably about £400 and have to do bugger all for it. Enough of my winging and complaints, on the plus side there is, the ermm, I wont be spending anyone more of our hard cash on battery chainsaws. If one of those went missing in the post I would have packed it all in.
  6. Thanks for the update. That is disappointing, I didn't realise that you needed a specific charger for the 540 battery! I think that I will give stocking that saw a miss. When you are looking at over £2000 just for a couple of batteries, charger and the machine then it is getting a bit silly. As you say those batteries are very heavy, nearly 3kg so you wouldn't want to use them in many other machines. Maybe we should stick to hedge trimmers, top handle battery saws and a small rear handle saws for now until battery tech moves on.
  7. The last time I checked delivery was due around the 20th of Jan for the XP, the XPG has no ETA at all!
  8. All of the parcels were tracked24 which are a priority service so they shouldn't have been pushed to the back to the broom cupboard. I think that its fairly safe to say that someone has helped themselves and listed some cheap arb gear on ebay.
  9. The SP33G is a semi chisel chain. The C33 is a 1.3m gauge but full chisel, I don't know if the width of the C33 is the same as the SP33G.
  10. Royal mail have really let us down lately. They 'lost' a large amount of parcels over the Christmas period. They have let our customers down and it will cost us a couple of grand at the least.
  11. Only 1 allowed per dealer
  12. Did you have to design that cap yourself or is there a file for it? Our house is littered with plastic surrons and fidget spinners!
  13. They didn't do a recall as not all batteries were affected. I think its a two year warranty for pro use and 5 for domestic so its definitely worth contacting your dealer if they have failed especially at £180 a pop. I think that every battery that we have had in for warranty has failed within about a month or 2.
  14. The batteries do have temperature sensors but I don't think that that is the issue as they are having problems all year round.
  15. Reading the info about the 550I it says "The B540X battery ensures peak power and runtime, and supports longer bars, while the lighter B330X offers outstanding manoeuvrability" I presume that means you need to use the B540X to achieve full power and any other battery will produce less power but its not 100% clear. Stihl state that you need to use the AP 500 S. Although you can use other batteries their machine will only run a power level 3 with the 500 S. I think husky need to be more clear if certain batteries produce less power or not.
  16. There has been an issue with those batteries. Speak to your dealer as they will be replaced if still in warranty. This is the improved replacement battery. ECHO Battery LBP-56V125 - Skyland Equipment SKYLANDEQUIPMENT.COM The updated LBP-56V125 is the latest advancements in ECHO’s 56V lithium battery line up. Designed for superior performance, they feature improved connectors that minimize...
  17. They wont be genuine at 25 new. Unless its salvaged stock.
  18. The 260 was a decent machine, reliable too.
  19. Ill try to check it this week but I've just had a lot on my plate getting machines fixed before the Christmas closure. I did have a scan on the interweb and resets only seemed to apply to resetting batteries that have Bluetooth connectivity, just to reset that bit so they can connected to other Bluetooth devices rather than resetting a failed battery.
  20. Thanks. The 300's should provide full power. If its anything like the Stihl MSA 300 it will only hit about 5,000 RPMs with a standard battery.
  21. I didn't think that they had arrived in the UK yet as I was trying to buy some spare parts the other week and there weren't any available, I couldn't even order them which usually means the machine hasn't been launched. If anyone does have one don't break it!
  22. If you do buy one I would be interested in any feedback please. Do you have the X series of batteries as you will need to use those to get full power?
  23. I think that the cost is part of the issue why they don't sell very well. It used to be that a machine, battery (or maybe 2 if there was an offer on) and charger was the same price as a petrol machine.
  24. Not yet, possibly due in Jan 2026. We have had a few enquires about them but I'm not sure if any have landed in the UK yet. We only ever stock a few battery chainsaws machines as they just move far too slowly. Has anyone in the UK used or seen one for sale yet?
  25. Hedge trimmers are by far the most popular battery machine. In the pro range top handles far outweigh rear handle machines in sales although they have died off a fair bit this year. Battery tech just isn't there for rear handle machines to really take off yet. Even though they can charge up fairly quickly they are just too expensive with too short a run time for a lot of pros to justify buying a decent rear handle saw.
