  1. A lot of machines that I see for repair or service have water in the fuel. I always empty the fuel tank into a clear measuring jug and in the past you would usually see any water present sitting at the bottom like an air bubble. These days the fuel is usually cloudy, milky looking but if you leave it to settle you can see the fuel clear up and the water settle to the bottom. It's definitely worth cleaning your fuel tank out in your machines and don't forget to check your fuel cans. I'll post some pics up this week if I get the chance.
  2. I had a msa161t in a few months ago with the same issue. It wasn't bought from us but you could tell it had hardly been used. The magnets on the motor had came away from the housing and jammed the rotor. We replaced the motor under warranty. Get it back to your supplier rather than mess about trying to fix it as it doesn't sound like you have done anything wrong or that there is a simple and easy fix.
  3. We sell a lot of brake bands so I presume they wear fairly quickly. Make sure you take a couple of pics of the setup as there is a little plastic square washer that can get missed and the brake band doesn't come with the small roll pin, easy to displace this item.
  4. Check that all the av springs aren't distorted. You have two underneath the on/off switch, one on the left hand side of the side handle where it meets the base of the machine and the one in your photo. As spud says the little boot isn't critical but I think the air filter gets dirtier quicker if it isn't in place. Clean Air filters are very important on the 2511 in regards to performance.
  5. Dan is spot on, stick to the code 21. This is a .325 pitch with a 1.5mm gauge. Lpx means that it is a full chisel. You could use a Husqvarna H25 which is the same pitch and gauge but a semi chisel. As you have s 15" bar you will need a chain with 64 drive links, 21lpx064e, 21bpx064e etc.
  6. Hopefully someone can reply who has stripped down these machines. Personally I have had a few in for repair but most of the time I dont bother as getting spares isnt that easy and the labour cost for repair isnt usually worth it to the end user. The only advice I could give is take plenty of pics when dissembling it for a reference backup. Sometimes what should be the most simple of repairs can be a right ball ache on these type of machines. You may find yourself stripping the machine right down to get at that pipe.
  7. Yes you can, 1137 640 2005 Chain sprocket 3/8" Picco 6T. Its the same sprocket used on the 192/193.
  8. I only have two in stock but they are the same as yours so I guess it must be designed like that. The only other thing it could be is if it is a bad run of covers which can only be confirmed if someone has a better fitting cover. Tbh I don't think it will cause any issues.
  9. I will have a look at the ones we have in stock and let you know, I dont think we have many though!
  10. They usually have some adjustment by the carb to take the slack up from the throttle cable. A strimmer but same type of adjustment
  11. Probably a .325 1.3mm chain. What number are stamped on the drive links?
  12. Which model of hedge cutter and blower do you have? Do they run fine if you switch back to pump fuel?
  13. Do you know if there has been much research into making a heated top handle saw? I guess it would be costly as there are less sales of top handles and extremely difficult to try and keep the weight down. They would sell though, I would have bought one in a flash.
  14. The positioner 2 does seem to be the best choice going on feedback but the zillon is a lot better than the grillon for tree work.
  15. I've replaced a couple of heated handles due to damage but not many. £100+ usually just for the parts so it is worth looking after them. Brushcutter has given some good advice. To convert a non heated handle saw is very expensive so it is worth thinking about when buying new as the cost isn't that much different. Heated handles on a top handle saw would be nice. One day Mr Bolam, one day.
  16. Some Husky stuff can be temperamental to tune using petrol never mind an alkylate fuel! Autotune machines get pdi'd with alkylate fuel non autotune with petrol unless I know the customer is using alkylate. An 1/8th of a turn on the L or H screw can make a world of diference.
  17. Which part do you need exactly? I have plenty of saws back in stock now so I could have a look at pulling the part of a new machine.
  18. It can be all over the place with uk stock. If it isn't in stock here it usually takes two weeks to two months for it to arrive from Japan. I will check out your email and let you know what we and the UK importer have in stock. Although I am having a day off tomorrow, home schooling the kids which will be fun, 🙄 so it could be Thursday before I get a chance to get back to you.
  19. 😆 Oh I don't know, any publicity is good publicity right?
  20. Unfortunately from Monday 11/01/2021we are having to close the shop to walk in customers. We are still operating our click and collect service but manning the phones is an issue so it is best to email over any enquires to [email protected]
  21. You cheeky barstewards. De dont talk like we do dont de do lar.... And there's me using my best posh voice on the phone and everythink, wont bother from now on. Good luck on getting charged for a pair of Pfanner trousers instead of a brake band from now.
  22. My old boss showed me that trick, works a treat! A blower was always an essential item, I just wouldnt do the job without one.
  23. We sell quite a lot of the brake bands but then they are the same band for the 550xp mark 1 and 2 and the 560xp/562xp plus a couple of other non pro saws. It could possibly be a bad batch as a month of use on all machines doesnt sound too good tbh although I havent had any complaints on this happening this quick on the mark 2 550.
  24. As already mentioned most dont use the guard with the mulcher blades. Apparently the three pronged ones dont spray the mulch about as much but do need a bit more power. Both oregon mulcher blades are available 3 or 4mm thick.
  25. Sorry I completely missed this mention. Looks like the OP is now sorted, the jet fit heads are a little known really good product. They seem to take a good battering.
