  1. Yes it will!
  2. Interesting. Steve, is there any chance of yourself or someone else in the know inviting Stihl to come on and comment on this subject in order to give us some clarity.
  3. Dear Stihl I am amazed at your "head in the sand" attitude to on-line sales. Do you really think your company is big enough to ignore what is rapidly becoming the main way people shop? Surely this policy can only lead to the slow and painful demise of what is to my mind a great company. On a personal level, I live on a Scottish island and have 4 Stihl chainsaws, one brushcutter, one blower and a cut off saw. We have no Stihl dealer on the island which has never before proved a problem when parts are needed, however if I now have to travel to the mainland to visit my nearest dealer then I can only see me selling my Stihl products and replacing them with those of one of your competitors.
  4. Certainly was in several pieces, could never have got it home otherwise I'll see if my parents still have it at there place, only trouble is it's 500 miles from my place!
  5. Back in 1980 I went on a 2 week school trip to the med, remember buying one of these (may still have it) Fairly sure it came from Turkey but if not there then somewhere in that area. I think they were decorative and not meant to be used.

  10. Love it, one on the best carvings I've seen
  11. Like Jon said, it's too dry! See you sometime mate Work started on your house yet?
  12. Sharpened one of these for a guy recently, IIRC used a 4.8mm file. Watch yourself with it, this guy has a nice scar on his leg from it, but then like he said it was blunt at the time and he was pushing like mad with it.
  13. lit it at 8 this evening
  14. Husqvarna 125r strimmer today. A bit odd, was told the choke wouldn't stay on. Sure enough every time it would spring back to the run position. Cleaned all the crude out from around the carb linkages and all worked perfectly, easy fix. Took it outside the workshop to start, pumped the primer only to find fuel pouring out of a perished fuel line. Parts ordered.
  15. I said I could be wrong - and I was right
  16. I may be wrong be it reminds me of an old woodwarm that my brother threw out
  17. Would be interested if I was closer
  18. I give up
  19. If you read the link that Ty Unnos posted for you then you might have a bit more of an idea as to what you want and how to use it. How much timber are you looking to extract? I see you are looking for a 20-22" saw and are trying to work out how to sell the timber. just a bit worried you may be trying to tackle a big job with diy tools.
  20. Been around up here for 2-3 weeks
  21. I've sourced parts from here in the past, good service and very helpful. Miles Tool & Machinery Centre
  22. This little nugget of information about the decompressor being on the camshaft helped tremendously today - 13hp Chinese honda copy on a large splitter. A wee bit of rubbish (never did work out what it was) stopping the lever moving. Never would have known to look here if I hadn't read this. Arbtalk helps again - Thanks Barrie
  23. Looks like a good solution to me
  24. The 7d is a great camera, but the lens is where you need to put your money. Get a decent but not necessary great body and then buy some excellent lenses. As to which make, remember that if you want to expand your lens range at anytime there are a lot more secondhand, high quality, Canon and Nikon lenses available. The shot in my avatar was taken with an old Canon 30d but I did have a £4000 canon 500mm f4 lens hanging off the end at the time.
