    Worth a look

Anyone else notice the boat taking itself for a walk at 5.20
  2. Tractor not listed on their website, but there are some great cars on there including a newly refurbished 6r4 never been rallied! Glad I haven't got that sort of money or I might be tempted to spend it
  3. Had the same problem myself in the past, LA supplied gates including return springs, in the end we just used to offset the hangers and stick the return spring on as an assister. This seemed to keep the LA happy even though the spring wasn't really doing anything!
  4. I love that idea, will be digging out the araldite this weekend
  5. I like that setup. Would like to see the video of you reversing it into the shed
  6. Nicely done, great bit of bodging
  7. Yeah, if you drive down the road beside the stag it looks just like any churchyard yew.

    Stihl 056

Anyone milled with a 056? Just picked one up today, impulse buy so took a punt at £50. Usually use a ms660 and was hoping for about the same performance or maybe a little more torque.
  9. That's really nice, think I might have been a bit worried about that flying apart when turning it
  10. Certainly is a great tree, would urge anyone who's interested to go and see it, not too hard to get to, just turn off the A55 dual carriageway and then 30 minutes and you're there.
  11. Been back to the yew today and got some pics, only had the ipad as I forgot my camera on this trip! God it was cold
  12. Inlaws live 40 minutes away, just here for 2 days then back up to Mull on Monday.
  13. Hi Silky Just to let you know I was in Llangernyw today and your favourite tree was looking in good health, spreading pollen with every touch. Going back tomorrow with the camera, just an amazing tree! Will post some photos.

    Wow!!!!!!!!!

Seen infrared tree photos before but not together with long exposure, certainly works for me.
  15. Lovely job, must do something with the one in my shed.
  16. Send it to Spud, that'll test him!
  17. Can't believe this hasn't been snapped up!
  18. Thanks for clearing that up, it's amazing how photos can be so deceiving! I agree unplated brass would compliment the wood really well. Might have a go at this sometime, but think I might need a LOT more ability first.
  19. Lovely wood, the wave is great but, for me, the plastic inserts detract from the overall. Was this cut on a bandsaw? It's a great idea for a piece.
  20. Great post Silky, love the pics but loose the specky lights
  21. Thanks for all the replies, think it will be the Makita, (probably the drill and the impact driver) I've used my mates a couple of times and they seem to be a fairly good tool, but wasn't sure about how tough they were over a couple of years, as I said my Milwaukee has been going for 10 years, eaten a few batteries in that time but it's always kept going. Tried it again today and just got smoke, stripped it down and it's not too pretty inside! Also killed my Skil belt sander today, as they say "it never rains but it pours"
  22. Bringing this thread back from the dead. Just read through from the beginning and the Makita seemed to be the one most recommended. Anyone got any other suggestions and do the guys who recommended the Makita still stand by them 2 years further on. Have got a Milwaukee 18v but after 10 years of hard graft it is pretty much dead, it's been a great tool but would prefer something with slightly easier to source parts
  23. Saw that yesterday, had great ideas for a mill until I realised it was electric.
  24. Great news, must be a relief
  25. Will keep an eye out around here. Keep us updated.
