  1. Thank god for that, I thought I was going to be tempted to take that one home as well
  2. Hey Jon that's 4000 posts for you :congrats::thumbup:
  3. Thanks Was just having a bit of a bad day, I normally have quite a positive attitude Was just pointing out how a quick read of this thread helped to pick me up a bit. Anyway the most important thing today is the meeting in the Tuckers tonight - have a great time all who are going, wish I could be there but just too far:thumbup:
  4. Got the Stihl one, it's fine for what I want
  5. He tried telling me today that someone posted it on facebook - I didn't believe a word of it:001_tt2:
  6. I'm in a pretty bad place at the moment, have got to move out of my house at the weekend (landlord wants it as a holiday let) got nowhere permanent to go, just temporary accommodation. So stress is pretty high and the future is not looking great. I've just sat down and re-read the first few pages of this thread and it's reminded me that good things happen in the end if you just keep positive and work for what you want - Thanks Silky made me smile again
  7. Really useful - thanks for taking the time That gives me a bit to think about. If wanting a smaller setup would it be possible to insulate a shed (obviously with the floor beefed up to allow for the weight) was thinking something like kingspan with a ply lining.
  8. Got to strike when the iron's hot Just happens I'm heading down to that part of the country in the near future and as I don't get off the island too often thought I had better make the most of the oppertunity  Barrie - Receipt from Childrens Trust sent - Tis a good thing you're doing
  9. I'll take that Barrie! £20 to charity seems great to me.

  11. About 4-5 m3 so far Rayburn going 24hrs/day small villager stove just in the evenings. Moving house at the end of the week so won't use any more this winter as place we are moving to has central heating
  12. Been trying to capture the size of this tree for a while now, enough to say it always seems a LOT bigger than it looks in the photos.
  13. Just ordered Thanks to the sponsors - I'll remember them next time I order something Thanks to Steve for organizing And thanks to the childrens trust for doing all they do
  14. Well done What part of Somerset?

    Bench help

OK time for an update Finally got round to finishing this bench, in the end I got some 220mm Spax washer head screws, great things and they tightened down really well I'll just have to keep an eye on them to make sure they don't slacken over time. Fairly pleased with how this came out, but with that view I don't think many people will be looking at the bench. Thanks again for all the advice Much appreciated
  16. Thanks for the forecast, was good to have your second post just to confirm I understood the first post properly
  17. You got to feel sorry for the bloke who's rick burnt down but it gave you some great atmospheric shots Love the 4th one
  18. That sucks mate, I'll bring a sponge with me when I come down:001_tt2: Hope you get it sorted soon, for some reason I thought your yard was up the top not down on the moor
  19. Mull's great today Silky, sunny and frosty and if you think you had a great sunrise you should have seen ours! Not a big fan of Iona myself, very busy by Mull standards (really quiet by most others) Moved up here from Somerset 3 1/2 years ago and it's been wonderful but things are a bit uncertain at the moment as we have to move out of our house in 2 weeks (landlords want it for a holiday let ) and have no where to go so are having to go into temporary accommodation until March, just hope we find something else by then! Anyway keep smiling!
  20. Love the mirror photo, you've certainly got an eye for an unusual photo Keep em coming, I was having withdrawal this week cos you hadn't posted much. PS you'll wear that jacket out if you keep using it
  21. I'd be bidding on that towable one if I wasn't 500 miles away
  22. I reckon it just got scarred by that storm you had recently. BTW How's the clear up going?
  23. This could be fun!
  24. My mate's got the 3 point linkage version of this, he's got it coupled to a massey 35 engine. Can't fault it, well built, fast and never let him down. Could do with slightly bigger racks to catch the logs after splitting but that's an easy job.
  25. That's not good, best of luck and keep us informed.
