  1. That's the coolest timber extraction system I've ever seen Just need to fit a hiab now
  2. Have done one every year for the last 5 years, just for friends and family and never more than 2 dozen a year. We looked around a bit and ended up using photobox to print them. Not the cheapest but excellent quality (some friends got a few done really cheaply and the end result was so bad they decided not to give them to anybody) Photobox has an easy to use online design template with pretty much every option you could want on it. If you register an account with them they will email you their weekly special offers, wait for the 2 for one offer on the calendars which they run for a few days each autumn and buy them then. The other thing we found out was unless you are having a LOT printed it is an expensive thing to do.
  3. Stunning, bet that cost a few bob to do up

    Blower advise

Thanks for the answer guys. Loads to think about there, looking on ebay most secondhand ones seem to be pick up only so it may have to be a shiny new toy Unless anyone knows of one secondhand that they will post.
  6. I don't dare ask about the banana on the bike seat Seriously I am really impressed with your attitude and the response of the members who have given you work. Looks like everyone gains.
  7. Hi all Looking for a bit of advise on blowers. I'm looking to get a blower, not had one before and due to the nature of my work I don't need one very often, probably once a week or less. Because of this I can't justify a new one so have been looking at secondhand on ebay etc. Anyone got any advise on good/bad ones? What to avoid and what to look out for. Thanks Bob
  8. Had one for a couple of years, to be honest I don't use it very often. After using it for a few weeks I found it was really good for building the forearms and maybe not so good for the wrist. But then I may have been using it wrong!
  9. What's a 3 cuber?
  10. Get this story in the local paper, just the sort of thing they like, and play on the environmental side of things. Probably won't do any good but it will be free advertising at least. At least that way you may get some extra sales out of it.

  12. I've had the same thing in the past, tried to contact a couple of people about items for sale and had no response, I've always put it down to the item having already sold and the vendor not bothering to reply. Maybe there is a problem there though.
  13. Sounds ok to me but I winced every time you tried to start it, looks like an accident waiting to happen.
  14. No pressure then Best of luck
  15. When I lived in Somerset my local garage had a sign up saying "This music is for the use of staff only, would all customers please refrain from listening" Can't see it would work if the licensing guys came round but it made me laugh

  19. Was doing some work on a holiday home the same day as the owners were leaving after their holiday. Wife comes out and says they have a couple of bottles of wine left that aren't worth taking home, would I like them? Yes please says I, she comes back with 2 bottles, one with 2" of wine in the bottom, other with 1". Had to laugh. :laugh1:
  20. Not just me then, annoying isn't it
  21. I think I have seen this done before, mainly in the U.S. if I remember right. Not sure how safe it is though, sure someone else will be along with some better info.
  22. Google Fiskars X27, you can buy them in the UK but they are a complete rip off, £123 I think. That's why we are all getting them from abroad.
  23. In that case it is all perfectly clear
  24. Just read this thread and I have no idea what you 2 are talking about except for a passing reference to ice hockey:laugh1:
  25. Worth reading the HSE press release Unsafe tree work leads to fine for Lincolnshire man lists and explains the regulations he breached. Also says his employee was also using a saw without training or PPE, may explain the fine a little more.
