  1. Long delay in posting an update. Does this mean it went badly?

    Monkey Puzzle

Really nice, I get the monkey puzzle thing now. Here's the one that didn't link properly, the best IMO
  3. I love that. Converted dumper with winch added?
  4. I picked this saw up from Barrie over Christmas and have finally got home with it and had chance to look it over. Really pleased with my purchase Got to spend a bit more time with it, intermittent problem with the off switch, bar needs dressing and it's running rich - 11000 rev at the moment. So with a couple of hours in the workshop I should have myself a nice little domestic saw. Thanks Barrie, get some more up for sale, I'm coming back down again some time in February!
  5. was in halfords today buying a new headlight bulb when I overheard another customer asking a member of staff if there was anything he could do to stop his car using so much oil? the answer - fit new spark plug . Could not believe it
  6. Some blasts from the past in that video - great to see it's still going strong
  7. Still splits easy though
  8. I've got the tinytach fasttach (on spud's recommendation IIRC) Tiny-Tach: Diesel Tachometers from ITCO Really great and trusting company to buy from, order first, receive goods and then send a cheque. Ticks all the boxes and is wireless so really easy to use.
  9. Get out tomorrow and start knocking on doors. See what work people have, garden clearance, painting, fence repairs, whatever. Then when you've gone right round your village get on your bike and go to the next village and do the same. Print off some flyers and take them with you, put them in local shops, give them to people etc, just do what you need to do in order to get yourself known. Then once you've got some money together you can put it towards driving lessons. My parents live in Somerset and were recently complianing that they can't find anyone to do the jobs around the place that they just can't manage now that they are in there 80's. There's always work out there, maybe not loads but it's there.
  10. I really need to get myself a bigger saw! How many of them did you get milled? Also reminds me - I must clean my alaskan

    W.t.f!!!

At the outlaws for Christmas so I've just crept into one of the back rooms to "check my emails". Keeps me out of the way
  12. £48 is on ly for the fuel, you haven't added in the ferry tickets have you
  13. Wish I hadn't looked that mileage up now :scared1: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Pennyghael&daddr=Newton+Poppleford&hl=en&sll=53.579461,-3.999023&sspn=6.995908,15.688477&geocode=FTgLXAMdoySk_yl3N46mRL-LSDEJfQl14UX8yQ%3BFW6kBQMd36HN_ykzt8sxoZ5tSDFeyQLiCXBRJA&oq=+Newton+Poppleford&t=h&mra=ls&z=6 How much a litre is that?
  14. Fair point, hadn't considered that
  15. Exactly why I've just bought some
  16. Have a look at google street view for a start, should show it on there.
  17. Have a good one mate
  18. Matt beat you to it by a day http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/51688-flooded-log-merchant-somerset-levels.html Come on mate - keep up PS.. Down with my parents between Christmas and New Year, you about?
  19. That's a really great offer Spud Haven't seen the saw yet and that little jonsered will fit quite nice in with my other saws so I probably won't mess with it, but you never know. If I could get my hands on another scrap 266xp to go with the one under my bench I might have a play with that.
  20. Would have if there was supposed to be a rope there, replaced all the rest of the rope around the outside of the doors but there is no rope where the 2 doors meet
  21. Just moved out of a house that had a Villager Chelsea stove fitted and if it's anything like that one the best advise I can give you is sell it now while it's still fairly new and buy something else. The one we had would not shut down, there was no way of properly shutting back the air flow as the doors had no seal where they met, compared to the charnwood stove we had in the previous house the Villager was rubbish.
  22. Spud - Every time you post one of these porting posts I start to get twitchy with the dremel and we all know that would end with a dead saw and my Mrs giving me an ear bashing. Stop it or I'll end up trying to port that Jonsered of Gardenkit's
  23. Wow - That's beyond my comprehension
  24. Is that gizmo from gremlins? don't feed it after midnight
  25. Hi Silky This came up the other day and I think the answer was vBulletin Edit. Just found it and that's right, now get some more photos up!
