  1. Lovely day for a reduction. Could have done a bit more top corners but was a subbie day and boss was happy
  2. It'll twat a nice wall if it goes and it's very unbalanced now anyways. Client wants it out, was just checking I had got the ID correct really. Cheers
  3. Good tip about flipping every other slab, not heard that, makes sense I guess, stops it all warping the same way
  4. They'll find people, but spect a good amount of them will be next to useless
  5. Been offeted the same, people looking for subbies then offering rates like that. Not hugely tempting, specially using own kit
  6. Agree! It is a def a seperate tree, rather than a large part of (not sure if pics show that)
  7. Just been asked about this, sister tree is away and half rung up. Suspect kretz. Canopy looks in good shape, but very exposed and weighted one way after sister tree has failed. Ta
  8. There is a thread somewhere on cheap Chinese Alaskan style mills, worth a read. You will hate milling with a 365. Def get a 90cc plus saw for the job and if you have nothing to do with it after you can likely sell it for the same money. 075 076 stihl are a relatively cheap way of getting a lot of saw for milling with (111cc). Chainsawbars.co.uk stocks a few types of mill. Sound advice from Rob from their aswell
  9. Not sure but think that's where i got mine
  10. Tech-TACH TT-20K is what spud recommended some years back. Still works, does the job, not used others so have no comparison.
  11. https://arbtalk.co.uk/index.php?/topic/109809-Stein-Kask-Helmet-Issue
  12. I wouldn't bother with stein/kask one. I look forward to mine irrepairabley breaking
  13. Been on Mull with family for a week. Had a lot of fun, slinked off to do a few days for a pal near Dervaig, big knackered beech tree next to a big old house. 88 spat it's nose sprocket out in the gob, thankfully had a 7900 Makita with a 36" bar in the van which saved the day. Pretty impressed with it! Mull is insanely beautiful!
  14. Not used that 390 but have the 4300. It's sturdy and pretty zippy, slightly chunky and heavy for its omph. I'd certainly be keen on trying the 390 if it's anyhting like the 360tes. Doesn't feel like slot of weight difference between the 43 and 50cc Makita so personally would prob go for the 5000 over the 4300 as have a bit more oomph
  15. I have a gunsun one with a rubber end which you can sort of hold over the spark hole and pull the saw over a few times if you stand on it right. I have found that it rarely tells you anything you don't already know though. If you pick a saw up by the starter cord and it drops to the ground compression is poor. If it slowly moves to the ground in stages it's pretty good. A mityvac is far more useful for testing crank case vacuum and pressure etc. Also if unsure worth just pulling the exhaust off and having a deeks at the piston, ring and cylinder through that port. What models are they? Have fun!
  16. You mean the high frequency sound things? My parents have experimented with them slot and found them more than useless. Terrier? Decent farm cat?
  17. Svtech are extremely helpful, highly recommend speaking to them. Helped me out when I had considering downrating a 508. Seen this? https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/2006-mercedes-sprinter-311-cdi-4x4-mwb-medium-roof-van-1-owner-low-miles/1292498969
  18. I know they are wicked but I have a 66 84 and 88 so really it doesn't come out to play that often. It's the noise they make that makes me smile the most!
  19. Thinking of letting my 076 go gis a pm if your interested.
