  1. Rang them today they will collect it Monday. Won't tell me how long they will have it though....which is odd. Hopefully not for weeks but they made no promises. Won't offer a replacement either
  2. Well I went and bought it. Not seen it yet but a lad I know (who knows more about chippers than me) has looked it over and collected from South Wales. Will be in the yard late tonight! Exciting first chipper!
  3. Aye great scales etc on turtle
  4. Yes I 've been impressed with mine so far, pull very well. I try not to use the brake all the time anyway tbh, but you want it working when you need it!
  5. Any nearby Makita dealer you think? Will try but suspect I know what they will say..... Yes soon as you know about those spikes let me know
  6. Thanks Rob! Very kind
  7. Course you can. Was milling near wylam, Northumberland.
  8. Balls. Not long bought a second hand 7900
  9. I'll have you know I'm on a Samsung xcover 4, the 'tough' phone. I have only broken 1 mic and 1 screen in a year. Just says video is unavailable
  10. Says vid is unavailable?
  11. Had a good today milling for a pal. He had bought an Alaskan and 48'' lo pro gb bar with ripping chain ages ago and never used it. Wanted a hand getting it setup and milled this lovely beech approx 40'' wide by 10.5' Very impressed with lo pro ripping chain ( would it have been Carlton?) On the 66. Very fast cut.
  12. That was suppose to read "id please" not "is please "
  13. Hard to see in pics but pretty slimy brown stuff oozing out the stem. Tree looks healthy enough in terms of leaf coverage etc.
  14. Any news on app for android? Just swapped phones and lost the app. Doh!
  15. I use a thick bit of rubber with holes in to go inbetween the carb boot and cylinder. Then do the carb bolts that hold the carb and the boot to the cylinder up. Make sense? Same on exhaust side.
  16. I have used 9 tooth sprockets on 660 (I think). It be great when stinging sharp but less good as a little dull. I'd try it for the cost of a sprocket it's worth a punt. But I doubt you'll be blown over by the difference
  17. My god, have you been using a topper on the ground? Nice job!
  18. Also starling murmeration pretty amazing!
  19. Seen a couple of solar eclipses, found them incredibly eerie, especially the birds all suddenly going silent. Had an amazing time recently scuba diving in Greece. There is a 30m deep canyon which is about 1 to 1.5m wide, decenting into the depths of this and looking up at a slither of blue ocean was amazing and intense. At the end of the canyon you enter a huge underwater cave. Came quite close to feeling claustrophobic. http://www.fiskardo-divers.com/dives-sites/the-secret-of-venus
  20. That Yosemite rainbow video is mad. The fella is pretty enthusiastic about it. Couldnt quite get to the end.....
  21. Thanks, hope I will have done it by next April but please give me a shout anyway just in case. Ta
  22. Does it not make a difference if it is your job. I.e Jonathan's work is forestry and extraction not transport to hire forwarder. Would you need a tacho to drive a landy and heavy chipper?
  23. Any good?
  24. Same lot, arb for training. Just heard of first aid plus f trainer in haydon bridge though, just chasing that up
