  1. Been on Mull with family for a week. Had a lot of fun, slinked off to do a few days for a pal near Dervaig, big knackered beech tree next to a big old house. 88 spat it's nose sprocket out in the gob, thankfully had a 7900 Makita with a 36" bar in the van which saved the day. Pretty impressed with it! Mull is insanely beautiful!
  2. Not used that 390 but have the 4300. It's sturdy and pretty zippy, slightly chunky and heavy for its omph. I'd certainly be keen on trying the 390 if it's anyhting like the 360tes. Doesn't feel like slot of weight difference between the 43 and 50cc Makita so personally would prob go for the 5000 over the 4300 as have a bit more oomph
  3. 026 is an ace saw!
  4. I have a gunsun one with a rubber end which you can sort of hold over the spark hole and pull the saw over a few times if you stand on it right. I have found that it rarely tells you anything you don't already know though. If you pick a saw up by the starter cord and it drops to the ground compression is poor. If it slowly moves to the ground in stages it's pretty good. A mityvac is far more useful for testing crank case vacuum and pressure etc. Also if unsure worth just pulling the exhaust off and having a deeks at the piston, ring and cylinder through that port. What models are they? Have fun!
  5. You mean the high frequency sound things? My parents have experimented with them slot and found them more than useless. Terrier? Decent farm cat?
  6. Svtech are extremely helpful, highly recommend speaking to them. Helped me out when I had considering downrating a 508. Seen this? https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/2006-mercedes-sprinter-311-cdi-4x4-mwb-medium-roof-van-1-owner-low-miles/1292498969
  7. Having a fun time?
  8. Having a fun time?
  9. I know they are wicked but I have a 66 84 and 88 so really it doesn't come out to play that often. It's the noise they make that makes me smile the most!
  10. Thinking of letting my 076 go gis a pm if your interested.
  11. That would be sweet. I have one of these that make excellent espresso and all you need is boiling water https://goo.gl/images/8gjoVm

  13. Aye been on hpoc for years, this is my 5th hilux! Went to see a lot of dogs before found this one. It's totally mint rust wise which is why I pulled his arm off for it......hpoc is great full of really helpful guys. Seen many mk4 s and 5s in a lot worse shape. Shame they rust bad! It's be getting the waxoyl and rust killer underneath soon As I get it
  14. Time will tell, collecting from York tomorrow
  15. If I wasn't so tight i would have replaced mine years ago. Lost the screws many times. Ears don't get defended properly, horribly sweaty then when you take the removable bit out to wash it doesn't Velcro back in properly and stinks again after a days use. Totally poor.
  16. Nah, need a reasonable amount of welding in chassis and tub was a scrapper.... a double can mk3 came up with only 65k on clock ( full mot history). Still got the factory chassis stickers on! Looking for winch bumper and some knobblies the now.
  17. 5 mins is pretty acceptable. Just got a hilux mk3 DC! Collecting sat.
  18. Will be looking at doing the same shortly. I guess doesn't tip? How long to shovel full load of chip out?
  19. That's why a lugall is amazing!
  20. Ms170 and 180 as great for the money but don't last long if your using them full time. I had 3 of them used for carving which lasted reasonably well, but quite a difference in durability and power when compared rear handle ms200 and ms201..... I'd have a look at the echo 360/361wes. The top handle version seems to be lasting well. You may also find a good condition used ms200 or 201 for £200 ish
