  1. False. The clutch on the 076 was engaged and the whole saw was being driven by the 084. When you start milling you are correct, the 076 clutch does not engage but after it has engaged it won't disengage until both saw revs drop.
  2. Sure you are correct Rob, when I used a 076 which is a chugger and the 084 when we paused milling and I let go of the throttle on the 076 often the revs didn't go down at all and it sounded like it was screaming. It was very hard to tell what was going on tbh as it's all pretty loud! I ended up feeling it was prob safest to pair similar saws....i.e I would be happier with a 660 and 084 or 2x 076/ 075 /090 /051 etcs
  3. Just went to sharpen a chain from them after a mornings cutting. Rivets not been peened. Wtf.
  4. Not a t2 but pretty decent https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/mercedes-207d-autotrail-apache-motorhome-2500ono/1294641929
  5. Mine was scruffier and done 670,000km and I got it for £1650 no mot and not converted. Sold it for £5k after conversion. If it was was tidy I could see a Merc bus properly converted making more than 7k...... Worth checking gumtree eggs, some. Bargains on there from time to time.
  6. Shit the bed. Sorry about that eggs..... still more fish in the sea.
  7. Honestly Greece has gone to the dogs. Just full of nasty beaches and horrid blue sea. Got 19 to 23mpg but was a 4 speed auto and on the weigh bridge we were a little over 6tonne. So depending on what you get might not be comparable.
  8. You'll not feel mad when you get it parked up on a beech like this eggs
  9. What you doing with it eggs?
  10. Had one eggs, absolutely mint. Mine and 670,000 on the clock. I bought it and went on a 10k road trip about Europe and all that went wrong was a leak on diesel return hose ( snipped it out and moved hose clip). Europe is well stocked for spares for these buses. Mine was auto and I would have preferred manual. They have timing chains. King pins tend to wear out . The coach builds a quite low down and have large overhangs on the back which isn't amazing for tracks. Listen for air leaks once the air tanks full if it has air brakes.
  11. Not, email notifications do not seem to work for pm' s. Also pms not working in the wonderful app.
  12. I think ideally Steve you want there max rpm to be very close. I wasnt happy running an 084 and an 076 together, felt like the 076 was being pushed faster than it wanted. I doubt 500 rpm difference enough to worry about for example.
  13. I'll pm you the email if a guy who can maybe help. He has stitched up a few chai saw lanyards for in past. Very helpful guy
  14. got a few bits I have not used for a while, petzl grillion lanyard, harness etc pm if your interested at all.
  15. Yep pretty much want one now. Just seized the tip of my little 150 bar......
  16. Look forward to these arriving. How will they compare in price/quality to the stihl ones?
  17. It's good they honour it without question. I have probably totally abused them. They usually stop opening easily after I have tried to cut fencing wire or over squeezed the pliers etc.
  18. I have a Gerber which is now owned by fiskars. Lifetime warranty which they honour! On my 3rd replacement now.
  19. No idea why, but they are amazing at what they do. So light and quick to setup. Not much pull on them but ok if used correctly. I have a cheap 4t Chinese one that lives the the truck. Had it for years hand can't break it. Not as good as a real lugall though.
  20. I'd get a decent used saw every time over the plastic home owner type ones.
