  1. Time will tell, collecting from York tomorrow
  2. If I wasn't so tight i would have replaced mine years ago. Lost the screws many times. Ears don't get defended properly, horribly sweaty then when you take the removable bit out to wash it doesn't Velcro back in properly and stinks again after a days use. Totally poor.
  3. Nah, need a reasonable amount of welding in chassis and tub was a scrapper.... a double can mk3 came up with only 65k on clock ( full mot history). Still got the factory chassis stickers on! Looking for winch bumper and some knobblies the now.
  4. 5 mins is pretty acceptable. Just got a hilux mk3 DC! Collecting sat.
  5. Will be looking at doing the same shortly. I guess doesn't tip? How long to shovel full load of chip out?
  6. Ms170 and 180 as great for the money but don't last long if your using them full time. I had 3 of them used for carving which lasted reasonably well, but quite a difference in durability and power when compared rear handle ms200 and ms201..... I'd have a look at the echo 360/361wes. The top handle version seems to be lasting well. You may also find a good condition used ms200 or 201 for £200 ish
  7. Yes will have some ash amongst other things. Off the top did my head it'll be 1.5 to 1 3/4 inch boards. Over 300mm wide And over 8ft long. Air dried, cut probs 8 yrs ago. Just near allendale pal
  8. Could have done with you today, buried the nose of my car in a drift on way to Middleton in tees. Spent an hour digging out!
  9. There was a swap shop a while back but haven't seen it in action for a while. Swapped some spikes for a portawrap..... can anyone find the thread?
  10. I got a t4 syncro now! They are mint but I will twat it using it for arb work. No low box etc
  11. Haven't tried, but I have a suspicion of how good they will be.....
  12. Just heard from a landy obsessed pal that the crew cab landy 130 chassis it too long to handle a tipper?
  13. I heard the 130 crew cab tipper chassis bend? Also talking to a legendary hilux exporter today told me he had has over 40 navaras with bend or snapped chassissss'ss Not very encouraging. Really appreciate hearing from people experience. Ta
  14. Navaras d22 no good? L200s ? Hear very mixed things, some folk suggesting totally fine others saying they are a curse..... Definitely plenty more extra cab d22 and l200s about...
  15. Already got one but some days I got the kids and partner away working In the car.......usually fine but have used all the seats in the syncro van often and that's why I swapped to this from a hilux single cab......im just going round in circles!
  16. Def need a 4x4, reckon it gets used weekly, trying not to run 2 vehicles as it's a grand a year each just to insure and tax and mot etc..... Basically nothing's perfect is it. Maybe I'm best getting a single cab 4x4 tipper and kids can just squeeze in the foot well
  17. Looks good also, is the back extended beyond the original tub or the same? Ta
  18. I just wish they were making them 20 years ago so you could get a non CR engine and no computer (and maybe affordable) version. For 46k id probs just get 3 or 4 decent work vehicles
  19. That looks ace, just the ticket. Did you get the back made up yourself? Are the back seats sideways or forwards?
  20. Looking at something I can fit family in( ideally 5 seats but meybs a extra cab would do). this is why I sold me mk4 hilux Would like to hear from anyone with a extra cab or double cab pickup how irritating the small load space is and has anyone bothered with a tipper. I suspect waste of time as load space in a single cab small enough anyways but happy to hear otherwise. Cheers
  21. Straight swap. You may want a new gasket in case your old one breaks. Worth finding the cause of the seizure. Some good in-depth vids on YouTube. Donnyboy is pretty good. Make sure piston is correct way and be careful with piston rings when placing cylinder over. Meteor are decent non original parts.
  22. ? You'll have to order 2 with northern if you want free delivery then wait for a fortnight. If you buy to with l and s it's 9.80 a chain or something of stihl ones. Or was last time I ordered. There is usually some other bits I need so the few quid postage isn't an issue.
  23. The ms150 chain northern arb do is 2 quid cheaper than the stihl ones from l and s engineers.
