  1. You don't sync the iPhone to it, you sync it to your PC and iTunes will let you put all, or a selection of, your apps, contacts emails etc onto the iPad. You can connect your phone or a digital camera to it to download photos though.
  2. The good news is the battery on the iPad seems great. I use mine out surveying but just after it! Got a 16gb wifi that suits me just fine, 3G will be a waste of space up there I would imagine. It's ok in larger cities but hopeless elsewhere IMO
  3. I'd break that on day one! nice idea though...
  4. We are in Wrexham, PM me some details and we will come take a look for you!
  5. I guy offered us 285.00 a day sub contracting for 2 men and a chipper last week, stuff that, 400.00 minimum subbing. 5-600 direct to client.
  6. That's consultancy for you! protect the trees to the best of your ability. If you think, looking at the plans, there is no way to save them then the and need amending or the trees have to go. Specify re-planting as mitigation.
  7. Steve, got a picture and whereabouts are you? I'm interested in your crane at that price!
  8. They will almost certainly be at risk during demolition and construction. You need to think about access and egress to the site, storage of materials etc. Appropriate protection will be required for the duration of the construction phase.
  9. Third pic from the end = the reason we avoid Snowdon in the Summer!!! Well done to your kids mate, bet they loved it!
  10. Aye, saw that in the Times this morning. RIP.
  11. An old aquantaince of mine gave up tree work to become a professional photographer, I think he specialised in through the canopy shots... Will find his website, sounds like a great idea! Arborist turned photographer ... http://www.peterrhoadesphotography.co.uk/
  12. Hire one yourself? HE Plant with a selctagrab.
  13. Will do
  14. Your a tad far from us otherwise I would have given you a few days...

For the consultants on here TurboViewer is a very powerful free app to allow the viewing of .dwg files in the field. Very impressed today.
  17. As in the title, we have the opportunity of purchasing one for small domestic work. It is on tracks and would be ideal for climbing in and out of the tipping Ifor. Cheers
  18. I will never deal with them again... Shame really as I wanted another Juno.
  19. If you desperate we could help but your a fair way from Wrexham.
  20. Korec IMO are the biggest bunch of charlatans out there, they made some software for us and supplied a handset on a long term hire. It just did not do what it was supposed to do, then to top it all off they charged us for collection and delivery even though we picked the unit up! To balance this out though we did contest the invoice which was later issued a credit note. As Paul said Digiterra is the way to go.
  21. Stobbarts / Jenkinsons = same firm...
  22. Not up your way, maybe speak to Stevie Blair see who he knows or try Balcas. They are so desperate for chip you should be able to hold them to ransom. Our price have doubled in the last 18 months.
  23. Brett @ Osbourne's is a sound guy, they are good guys who have just failed to move with the times.
  24. We get 8.00 ton from Stobbarts / Jenkinsons and it all goes to Shotton in North Wales. Highland Forestry - it's the haulage that kills it in England / Wales. Your plant must be nearby and they must be making a high value product?
