  1. As with most things Hama, a combination of techniques should inform the prescription. My post was just a wee witty morsel ;-)
  2. What he said ^^^ mind you, mini plant is never cheap is it!
  3. Personally, I am a big fan of a £3.50 sounding hammer. I suppose that doesn't impress the client though eh?
  4. My thoughts exactly..
  5. Don't Husqy parts fit them?
  6. As above really, they are buggers for rust, drink fuel, and look untidy very quickly but will work till they die. The later model, 07 on is lovely to drive but 1st is to high for towing IMO. That model is however much much better on fuel!
  7. Might take a wee run down from North Wales myself later in the week.
  8. Hiya mate, I am thinking about one of these chippers. Would it be possible to come and see yours working somewhen? We are out Wrexham way.
  9. There are lots of firms out there, try Stobbarts, Jenkinsons, JS Vicary, etc. G50 is a large chip? Would it make more sense to buy it in?
  10. I'm out Wrexham way, will keep my eyes and ears open.
  11. Agreed, that 814 is pretty tidy...
  12. Contact Nathan at Pabo Tree Services in N Wales. He has a small skyline rig.
  13. Agreed, there is no reason whatsoever to fell that tree at this stage. Prescribe a annual monitoring scheme. If you see the crowns of the trees to start looking abnormal, small leaves, minor dead wood or a thinning of the crown then maybe get a member from here to take a look for you. I would imagine these trees provide important amenity value to the site, it would be a shame to lose them prematurely. In terms of the vandalism, if it is pupils from your school, would it not be possible for the head teacher to put the fear of god into them at a mornings assembly? You could even consider a physical barrier such as a fence to protect the trees and make that 'out of bounds'. Best of luck!
  14. Scum, aye, but why did they do it? Rival gangs horses maybe? It makes no sense to try and kill three ponies with their traps attached. Perhaps they should be drowned.
  15. This was 'Roots and Shoots' as I recall, pretty sure it was a 2100 as well!
  16. What he said ^^^^ diffuser nozzle isn't it Matt?
  17. That was a guy down South wasn't it? I'm sure I have seen that rig. He could run the chipper mounted at the back of the trailer as well. Longest PTO shaft in history lol!
  18. Sorry that wasn't very helpful, in my experience most clients demand a guaranteed kill rate these days, the only way to achieve it is with knapsacks. Tried it all and knapsacks were best.
  19. Mist blowers are now good, the results are crap as it atomises the product to much...
  20. Depends what size finished product you want, and who you want to sell it to. You need a screened drum chipper really.
  21. There's your problem, it's a simple idea. We all know how LA's H A T E simple ideas! Lol
  22. Quite, can't see LA's happy with contractors running around applying the regulations to suit themselves!
  23. http://www.nhm.ac.uk/nature-online/british-natural-history/urban-tree-survey/index.html Quite good I thought.
  24. I'd crown lift it and keep it. But then I love Copper Beeches.
  25. Also, keep a separate tool box talk file with check sheets, issue your employees your H&S pack for a few days and then get them to sign a separate sheet to say they have read and understand it. Only the MD needs to sign and date the actually policies.
