  1. Dean, The Situation with Katrina and New Orleans is a simple example of jack Asses in control of power. The mayor of New Orleans was in a motel penthouse watching everything go south with days advance notice. Mayor Nagen, AKA School bus nagen allowed all of the folks that were left in the cityto stay right where they were. With enough advance notice he could of had most if not all of the citizens evacuated out of the city by local school buses ready and waiting to move. Instead he choose to allow the busses to become flooded along with the portion of the city where so many people were told to stay put. The Govenor of the State who had authority to contact the Federal Government to help with the evacuation of the folks in New orleans also decided not to contact the feds untill after the fact. The feds are not allowed to come into a State unless given permission by the governor of such state that requires it. Way to little and far to late:thumbdown: easy-lift guy
  2. That remark really takes the cake, Dean:lol: easy-lift guy
  3. Not if I have anything to do with it. Afterall we still speak Americanenglish or is it Englishamerican? easy-lift guy
  4. Paul, I don't think Treeseer is wanting the flame thrower on deck. He is wanting a comparison to gain knowledge, as am I. easy-lift guy
  5. I can not comment on a risk report generated from the UK, however I suspect that the link posted seems pretty SOP for the Arborculturel industry here stateside. I am also familiar with this part of the country and knowing the population and traffic patterns. I can think of several reasons why it has taken so long to generate, none of which have anything to do with this industry. easy-lift guy
  6. Do yourself a big favor and don't guess what your going to need and buy the wrong thing and damage what your trying to raise in the first place. Only buy what you need. Anything more or less is really a Hugh waste of time. easy-lift guy
  7. I would expect no better reading material for the reading room! easy-lift guy
  8. I forgot one more thing, this is important. If your not ambidextrous now you will be soon enough. Really, all kidding aside keep up with your physical therapy and get well, perhaps a journal of sorts to share with the other members may also help pass the time away?. easy-lift guy
  9. Ouch, Hope you have a speedy recovery, now the bordom part my Number one suggested a paddle ball for your working arm or you could take up Solitare with a deck of 51 cards. Take care. easy-lift guy
  10. If a long reach cutter is the same as a extended power pole saw made by nearly any manufacturer the answer is yes. I do believe you would find the ELH fully capable of working with many different makes and models of implement commonly used day to day on either side of the pond:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  11. Although I am pleased that you are the proud owner of an ELH, Please only use your ELH from the ground, on scaffolding , between Two ladders:thumbup1: or securely from a bucket. Like any other product working in confined areas or under low branches may or may not work with the ELH. Practice and patience will carry your work day and using the ELH will truly make a difference in so many ways. Best Regards easy-lift guy
  12. Thanks Veg. It is interesting that your chiropractor said that the burning pain in your shoulder was do to fully extending your arms while using heavy tools. As stated on my web-site Doctor Smith of North Port, Florida a licensed Practicing Chiropracter has over the years treated many of his patients for similar medical issues. That is the reason amount others he recommends the Easy-Lift Harness. I find your statement that " I have cut some very large hedges with it this week and have really enjoyed doing them", increditable to say the least. Pleased to hear your fellow colleagues have tried and also liked the ELH as well. In time you will discover how much faster and more productive your work load will become. I commend your boss, who not only has the fortitude to not only invest in his company and employees but having a keen understanding about working smarter and not harder:thumbup1: Best Regards Ted Scovitch, AKA easy-lift guy
  13. A minor correction about the gas used for the Pistons with the ELH, Believe me when I tell you the Gas pistons are filled with Nitrogen. If they were filled with Hydrogen I could just see my self lifting off with the optional heat sheild over my left shoulder blazing a trail under them lower branches Andy was talking about earlier:blushing: easy-lift guy
  14. Rob the Echo mentioned by TB1 is the tallest or longest with extensions on the market. I have used the model described with a 4'extension in conjunction with the ELH and have found it to work, however the shear weight and tork is a challenge. Andy the hedger attachment for the Echo model was discontinued here Stateside just over Two years ago. Stihl is the only manufacturer ATM with a nearly comparable reach, that you can attach a hedger attachment to. Good hunting. easy-lift guy
  15. Works for me. payment received that day and in my account 12:01 AM the next business day, except on Fridays. The CC companies like to work with everyones money a little longer on the weekends, otherwise it has made a big difference with my account receivables. easy-lift guy
  16. Not that simple, I am afraid!. The Newton force is key and I beleive with out the original serial number off of the machine or part number from the owners manual you may have more fun pounding sand:sneaky2:. Try to secure an owners manual and get the part number and go from there. You should be able to download an owners manual with a make and model number of the machine you have. easy-lift guy
  17. Neat, very proud of the USAF, and the accessories provided by Raytheon. easy-lift guy
  18. welwel, Who is the manufacturer of the piston?, My supplier is Stabilus and they have locations around the world including the UK. If you can pull a part number off the owners manual or from the manufacturers website you may find what your looking for. Any other help PM me and I will do what I can from here. easy-lift guy
  19. Your position and philosophy regarding work and life is sound:thumbup1:. It is a pity here in the States where I encounter so many malcontents and drama wannabes seeking to have their own reality shows based on really acting stupid in public and treatment of employees like crap:thumbdown: I choose to have none of it and work with folks that understand my products and philosophies to better their professional lives and in turn make life easier. All the best. easy-lift guy
  20. Thanks Adam, looking forward to the video, could you let your brother Jason know I am still looking forward to that autograph picture of him in action. easy-lift guy
  21. I once after a Tornado come through my customers neighborhood. The customer phoned me to come out and take a look at the damage to the house by her Pine tree. When I arrived and met with the customer the tree had smashed a pretty good size hole into her roof and would not be to much trouble to cut out and remove. She asked me before we discussed a course of action "should I call my Insurance company now or wait untill your done with the work". Now that was some vote of confidence! easy-lift guy
  22. You Sir are spot on. Topics will come and go, sure there will be some repetition, that is to be expected. Variety is the spice of life and ArvbTalk as well. easy-lift guy
  23. I suspect in time since you decided to try and buy the rest you may consider the best in the future. I love my competition since it makes my product greater than it already is. The cost of any piece of kit is relative to your actual ROI. I understand why folks buy something for less money, usually it only takes One outing with my product for the expression, " you get what you pay for" to come to mind. All the best. easy-lift guy
  24. Copyright infringements are common over here and when caught are delt with very quickly.. Watermarks or the like are helpful for protecting ones pictures. Sometimes as a last resort banning from a site may be the finall course of actIon. easy-lift guy
  25. Stephen, when we met last Thursday you left me with the impression that you were a straight shooter and well organized. Two traits I admire in anyone , but especially in the business. That aside you are not alone in your opinions since I encountered many of like mind during my visit. It made my task at hand easier and far exceeded my expectations based on the response from the show. For myself I wish to treat others the same way I would like to be treated. Knowing as many of the rules for the games people play is important, how one plays the game in the finale analysis is what really counts. easy-lift guy
