  1. I agree Reddog. The saw would cost more in the UK, but I suspect the ownership may be to much of a burdon is purchased in the USA. easy-lift guy
  2. Prank phone calls and "shock jocks" have been a staple of radio listeners lives for many years here stateside. Some are funny, others are not. IMHO this prank was only done for one thing, RATINGS!. When the rest of the media got wind of this prank gone wrong they could smell and taste the blood in the water and wasted no time creating a story based on celebrity. In today's society it is a shame that the media chooses to get it jollies by no longer reporting the news but creating it to fit a particular narrative. I don't know the state of mind of the nurse that took this prank call. Not my place to judge what she did or how she died. There are consequences for all of our actions in life. Some folks are really selfish and are prone to push the envelope all the time to help deal with any number of things going on. I hope the family of the nurse who died will be able to cope and better understand in time what has happened. easy-lift guy
  3. Fantastic!. The power of the Human Spirit, should never be taken for granted, mind over body comes to mind. Thanks for sharing, very Inspirational to say the least. easy-lift guy
  4. Dean, I had a saw just like that model shown. It lasted this ground dweller all of 3 months. Was not able to find anyone locally to repair when it gave up the ghost. Although I did get my $$$$ worth it was just barely. All the best. easy-lift guy
  5. Coletti, the funny thing about confidence is that it can become addictive. Being aware of your kit and how it works will serve you well. Pacing yourself and with life in general will have a profound affect on your future as a climber, take it from a ground dweller. You will do well, the membership would have it no other way! easy-lift guy
  6. I once had my 94 Ford Ranger backed into while parked along a side road. Old Bat said she never saw my truck?, IMO she never looked. Anyway there was no frame damage and due to the age of the truck no replacement bed to be found, the truck was totaled. One year later still driving truck and watching out for Old farts behind the wheel targeting my Ranger. Tort and or Insurance reform is in order on both sides of the pond. If caps on personnel injury and damage to vehicles were in place the insurance companies would be forced to be fair and not take advantage of the system. Of course the attorneys representing either side would not be in favor so Too bad! easy-lift guy
  7. I do have other plans for the ELH, however as much as I like to share I am not a liberty to disclose other future uses of the ELH for now. I can say that all future applications would be practical and useful. easy-lift guy
  8. 2 months of food and water, spare meds, lumber, rope, candles, food supplements, many sharp things axes and hand saws, fire wood and extra matches. Won't bore everyone with means of self protection for myself and family. easy-lift guy
  9. There's a ghost in the machine, I think? easy-lift guy
  10. After 15 years with my shorter better half and many attempts to control or stop ones snoring, I continue to seek a actual working means to cope with snoring. I want to know how I can get my Kat to stop snoring as well, more humorous than annoying! easy-lift guy

  13. I would rather think I projected morals and values for my step daughter not an agenda:sneaky2:. There are many paths available for people to follow, even with the best of intentions some folks do not choose wisely others do and work very hard to achieve their aims and goals for their lives. easy-lift guy
  14. Ouch, that was one expensive view to purchase! easy-lift guy
  15. Interesting video. IMHO life is what one makes of it. Helping children with deciding what they would like to do for their working lives should not wholly be predicated on how much they can earn. More like how much they will need to earn for the future. Surely not an easy task on behalf of the parents and with many different distractions constantly bombarding our kids. I believe the time for a child to start thinking about what he or she would like to do for work once what ever level of education is completed should start once they turn 13. Not a magic age but the first year of being a teenager for myself was a big deal. Of course in many ways we are all very much the same and different at the same time. How one chooses the right or wrong path in life depends on the parents working hard with their children and being good listeners as well. After all parenting is more than a full time job, it's an adventure with many twist and turns. No guarantees but worth the time if the parents make the investment for the future. easy-lift guy
  16. First rate new investment!. Your trailer length is to your benefit. Try not to be in an hurry when first learning to back up or even parking. Your mirrors properly adjusted before you get started are criticle. I pull weekly either a 32 or 36' trailer and the longer the trailer the easier it is to maneuver backwards. All the best. easy-lift guy
  17. How about pre treating with a detergent and taking a preasure washer to the ropes on a clean surface, drip dry and use? A self service car wash may also work the same way?. easy-lift guy
  18. From the other side of the Pond Kim/I were able to see Skyfall last night. We did enjoy the movie, even thought Kim felt it was a bit slow in the beginning?. In any event both of our families have medical back grounds with Kim being an RN and my mom an LPN. Anyway Kim and I were amazed how the Sub clavicle scar from the first shot taken at 007 by the bad guy who had a rather different type composition round from his weapon started in Right side and than later same scar moved over to right side. later still in the movie moved back again to the right side?. Not sure if any one else caught this but we thought it funny. Otherwise a good movie. easy-lift guy
  19. Law of supply and demand Tony. The more government interfers the more problems are created. Happens every time:thumbdown: easy-lift guy
  20. It does not matter what side of the pond were on. If the funds are not available than it is up to the free market to provide for a mechanism to allow the Arts or what ever to pay their own way:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  21. Could be worse, try 6 trillion in less than four years. If CG continues to spend a digitized the currency via the Fed reserve and US Treasury over here the USA will be up to over 20 trillion. If its a competition for waste we win and loose at the same time. easy-lift guy
