  1. Continue employement:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
  2. I agree with GardenKit on this one. I believe brick and mortar businesses will have obvious advantages and while one has time additional work on the side is helpful as well. I would suggest a different approach all together if feasible consider a mobile repair service. This would be an on call business and a decent truck with everything needed to keep up with service calls would be a must. Of course since your already working on generators of various sizes I guess you offer pick up and delivery services, or perhaps you should?. Yes you would have to charge more and if the customer can get his kit fixed far sooner than later while not loosing Time, I say go for it. You won't know until you do! easy-lift guy
  3. I agree, further more I would make sure that all hired employees know up front that once the busy work has been exhausted they will still have a job to return to just wait for the call back to work. Employers cannot be held accountable for Acts of God. Of course I am not sure if your labor laws protect employers from common sense easy-lift guy
  4. Only problem with scotch guard is that the product has to be reapplied after every laundry:thumbdown:, can get a little expensive. The Gortex uniforms seem a better investment and will still allow your body stay dry and warm. Just remember to still keep yourself hydrated. easy-lift guy
  5. Would not waste my money on django. Poverty pimps and Race baiters are having a field day over here. I choose not to repeat what has been said by some of the actors and the director of the movie. easy-lift guy
  6. I for one enjoy the chat room and visit when ever I can. General conversations and information exchanged is healthy when it comes to maintaining a dialog between fellow members. Of course some folks may seem intimidated when they first enter and that is normal. Putting ones thoughts to your fingers and keyboard just takes practice, like most anything else. easy-lift guy
  7. I believe the bridge tender should have been sacked on this one:lol: easy-lift guy
  8. If its not broken don't fix it. Reads like your only producing enough wood for yourself anyway?. Many firewood producers on this site are cranking out hundreds of cords every year with all the gear they need. Unless you discover one day that your body has given up on you, which it will I would just pace myself and enjoy while you can. Stay warm. easy-lift guy
  9. As a vendor of many shows here stateside, might I suggest finding out who will be exhibiting first and contact by phone or email to see what will be on display. Like anything else a informed consumer is the exhibitors best customer. Happy Hunting. easy-lift guy
  10. Good suggestion Veg. easy-lift guy
  11. Clicks in between checking items still going on, not as bad as last week. Any idea when ads will resume? easy-lift guy
  12. Might I suggest contacting either the ISA chapter for the state of Maryland or Virginia. You may also contact the TCIA. Either organization should be able to steer you in the right direction. easy-lift guy
  13. I suppose there is always a chance, however I have only had this happen once for myself and I know of only One other time in the UK of this occurring. The retaining spring that holds the gas pistons snug over the mounting post is meant to be flexible. I find that using a small flat screw driver works very well and a little practice easy-lift guy
  14. One size fits all?. easy-lift guy
  15. I would suggest the Easy-Lift Harness. Model 717-A is convertible and can be used with a line trimmer, power hedger, and an extended power pole pruner with either a hedger or saw attachment. Yes the price of the ELH is worth it since you will increase your productivity 100 to 200% per day, and for the first time ever be in control of the implement you are using. Just remember the ELH is an investment. Treat it as such and work smarter not harder. easy-lift guy
  16. Working Twice as smart beats working Twice as hard every time. Good use of equipment at hand. easy-lift guy
  17. I wish you the best, you are amongst good company. easy-lift guy
  18. Welcome from the Sunshine State. easy-lift guy
  19. My speed is fine but the rapid clicks are present over here too! easy-lift guy
  20. Contact the management Company and tell them you will hirer a window company to replace said cracked window. Fix it and move on. I have had this happen to myself and it is just the cost of doing business. Just becuse the management company contacted you via a " very terse phone call" could mean any number of things unrelated to the matter at hand. I believe when ever possible end a business relationship on a postive note, if you can. easy-lift guy
  21. I would also suggest dressing the part. Answer when asked a question, potential employers don't like BS's to hirer. Make sure you explain your situation up front to avoid any misunderstandings for the present. easy-lift guy
  22. Welcome from the Sunshine State. easy-lift guy
  23. Greetings Chris and welcome from the Sunshine State. easy-lift guy
  24. A point of view from the other side of the pond. At 29 and working full time with benefits you could start fresh in the Arborculture industry. Just remember your decision can be long lasting and will involve a considerable amount of time and funds and Sacrifice on your part. If your single you may have an easier go than some. If your married or thinking about becoming married in the near future make sure you discuss your future plans of employment. If this career change is what your really looking for than make your plans and at least try. Have a plan A and B in place before you make the move. easy-lift guy
