  1. Looking at the picture, I am wondering, which I do now and again, if with the higher up rights in place this could cause a load to be to top heavy and in turn have a tendency to topple over?. easy-lift guy
  2. If there was I was not aware of one since I am relatively cloistered in my 10'x10' cube pitching and demoing the ELH. I believe the ISA shows have out door events in conjunction with the trade show and classes. easy-lift guy
  3. Yes Dave, the TCIA Show has been held indoors exclusively in conjunction with classes during the event. The solider guy Second from the claims to have been on leave and was just walking the show with Justin, Chris. I think he said his name was Steve Bullman?. He was going on about some organization called ArbTalk?. My Second Cousin Kristin was on board for the show pictured first on the Right. easy-lift guy
  4. Greetings fellow members. The 2012 TCIA show held in Baltimore, MD has been a well received and in spite of the damage from Hurricane Sandy and a Nor Easter a few days ago the attendance was good. A few sights and some video of the show for all to enjoy. All the best. easy-lift guy Link to the full slideshow TCI Expo 2012 - DAY 1 Photos by easyliftharness | Photobucket and a special one with some familiar faces...
  5. I will try. At least over here in Florida a tree planted that close to a structure as I have stated before is an accident waiting to happen. As a general rule the root system of that tree much less any other here is 3 times the size of the canopy. This root system will seek out and find a sewer line or septic system is a short period of time. Plumbing issues or nightmares come to mind:sneaky2: Second would include foundation damage and third would be storm related damage. easy-lift guy
  6. Just wondering how the insurance rate will increase due to accidents from people using chain saws other than professionals. are accidents by non professional type have anything to do with your countries NHS?. easy-lift guy
  7. The pig will not care they will eat everything, think of it as a little more fiber for their diet:sneaky easy-lift guy
  8. Although pricing a job can vary from one local to another, the key is to have a profit made at the end of the day. Depending on ones overhead prices can and will vary a great deal. Market conditions and being able to read your customers has as much to do with the price as ones profit level, IMO. At least that's how bidding and securing work over here works. easy-lift guy
  9. I really don't know how many more of these REALLY STUPID PEOPLE USING CHAIN SAWS I CAN TAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I hope since the act was recorder to video the Utility company and all emergency services charged Double for correcting this act of stupidity. easy-lift guy
  10. Good subject matter. Just wondering if there would be any reasons why these training requirements could not take place at various shows around the country or dealerships? Of course that would take a bit of planning, however it should also reduce the cost overall since some companies seem to bring most if not their entire crew for shows. The APF Show comes to mind. As previously mentioned by others if your SE your expenses are your own. If one works for someone else the owner of the company pays all, including time on the books. The amount of time and cost seem very expensive to accomplish this requirement. Streamlining is in order for sure. Having different locations at different times of the year for this training makes the most sence to me. easy-lift guy
  11. As a ground dweller I have used both brands for 30 years. I think it depends on your application, and how well the saws are maintained. easy-lift guy
  12. Over here that tree was planted way to close in the first place, no excuse for such poor placement. Although I am not sure what affect the removal of the tree would have on the soil surrounding the tree, I would opt for total removal. Accident waiting to happen IMO. easy-lift guy
  13. Andy go to a leather shop and have one made to spec. May be your best bet. easy-lift guy
  14. You will be fine. Stay the course and continue to work hard at archiving your goals. Many folks have had far humbler life experiences and gone forward to achieve really great things in their lives. All the best. easy-lift guy
  15. Thanks Jon, yes I am well. Heading to my birth place of Maryland this Saturday for my family reunion and the TCIA Show. I suspect I will see my share of damage and destruction while visiting. This trip will be both business/pleasure with a little more time for some R/R. My thoughts and prayers will be with the many folks that have been affected by this natural disaster that has been predicted for years and regrettably found its mark. easy-lift guy
  16. I believe if anyone is wanting to make there way over to help it would be great. I would Recommend contact the ISA or the TCIA and ask if there is any companies hiring out of the NE. Make sure you are certain of a job and that your housing and food will be available if not provided outright. This recovery effort I believe could easily last for the balance of this year well into Spring 2013. Remember folks our Winter has not even started. Thanks in advance from the Citizens of the USA in our hour of need! Best Regards Ted Scovitch.
  17. You take care, and I believe your going to busy for the balance of the year+. Don't drink the water:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
  18. Rob just saw the video posted. Great footage. Just think if it had been a cat 4 or 5. It will take many years and billions of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ,$$$$$$$$$$$ of dollars to rebuild and recover. Maybe the utility companies will finally wise up and bury the lines like some other parts of the country?. I can only hope, but not get my hopes to high. easy-lift guy
  19. Glad to hear your well. You take care. easy-lift guy
  20. Steve, This to shall pass, Thanks for all of your hard work, see you in a few days. easy-lift guy
  21. Just tried to call Ben, recording came on saying the person I am trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time:sneaky2:. I hope all is well with Ben:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  22. Atlantic City, NJ. Is under water as of 5:01 AM. ALL AIR PORTS ARE STILL CLOSED MASS TRANSIT SYSTEM IN NYC COMPLETLY SHUT DOWN!. Over 30 reported dead. Many foolish folks decided to weather out this weather event. I suspect many more will be lost. easy-lift guy
  23. Jon, If you have frame damage and high mileage on you Audi your current value could be in question. Depending on the overall condition, the dealership may be feeding you a line of BS in order to get you to buy a new or newer model. Tough call. easy-lift guy
  24. You are correct to a point. Most of the larger players are and have been pre-deploying assets to the areas in question. Just announced on FOX News around 7:00 PM EST NYC Subway system is completely shut down. I suspect NYC WILL PRETTY MUCH BE A GHOST TOWN WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS. easy-lift guy
  25. Ben, please heed this warning. Make sure you have enough food and water on hand for at least a week for your self. Most of the grocery stores will be sold out or closed within the next 36 hours max. If you can get any extra fuel try to before the power is out or the fuel trucks stop delivering, mainly due to deteriorating conditions. If anyone is thinking about making their way over to help, remember there will be many tree firms converging on the NE from all over the US. Having a place to stay may prove to be impossible since a great deal of pre deployment is well under way. Many motels will all ready be booked and with evacuations being ordered up and down the coast, especially in low lying areas housing will be hard to come by if not available. For everyone's help who can my sincerest thanks:thumbup1:, be very careful, and may God bless us at this time of need! easy-lift guy
