  7. If I had a choice it would still be a decent tow strap for maximum control. The problems with rope cable and chain is damage to the trunk and less control. easy-lift guy
  8. I would not use either a rope or cable or chain. Find some cardboard and wrap around the trunk of the tree. Borrow or buy a tow strap wrap around trunk and slowly draw up slack until taunt. Pull desired length and your done. This should be a Two person job, although if you notch the cardboard and place the strap just right you should be able to handle the job. easy-lift guy
  9. I know Adam is his real name since I have been trying to get his brothers autograph for over a year. Adam told me that if he has been trying to get that same autograph himself, but Jason warned him that if he gave his signature to anyone they would have to disapear. I think I will hold off on that Autograph thing for a much later date easy-lift guy

  23. Greetings fellow members, I really had a Grand time this year at the APF and to all the members that stopped by FR Jones & Son to visit and try on the ELH thanks a lot . I can honestly say that out of the many shows I have partisapated in over the years this show had by far the most significant meaning to myself as a vendor and a fellow member. Thanks to all that really made my stay very special and memorable. All the best. Ted Scovitch AKA, easy-lift guy
  24. Try visiting your local arts and crafts store and see if you can purchase battery powered clock works and clock face. I have used Southern Red Cedar here state side to make clocks. Cut the logs into 2 or 3" slabs and run them through a planer. Determin the center of each slab and drill your pilot hole. Rout out the backside of the slab and install the clock works and affix the numbers to the face side. I have put a coat of varnish or polyurethane over the face of these types of clocks and they make great gifts or sale items. All the best. easy-lift guy
  25. I once had a customer who had trouble starting a fire in her fireplace. Now this customer was ok to start with but by the time this last incident took place I had had enough. It seems she was just old and lonely. Nothing wrong with the wood she just needed the reasurrance from her firewood supplier that there was no problem. When I left her house I knew there was nothing really wrong. It just really stinks when folks get older and their neighbors and family either don't care or are passed on. easy-lift guy
