  1. May I suggest if anyone receives such a call and you have caller ID , record the number and forward to your police as well as Mircrosoft. It may help further the investigation to stop the fraud. easy-lift guy
  2. That was really interesting. I was particularly intrigued by the stamping machine which allowed the operator to complete multiple operations without having to change dies. Wish my TAS Trimmer heads could be produced as fast. Well worth the view, thanks for sharing. easy-lift guy
  3. I agree with Andy on this matter. Funny how situations or remarks can trigger responses. If your in this business regardless of your physical height you should have broad enough shoulders to handle nearly any situation much less an occasional remark. Part of life. You will be fine, unless your groundie knows it gets your goat. If so give as good as received. easy-lift guy
  4. I would contact the course instructors and ask at a bare minimum how much time would be required to complete the course in question. Once you have that information make a schedule for class time and delegate jobs for specific task to be completed during your class time. Cooperation between your husband and family members will be key. Have a sit down meeting with your family and explain what you want to do and how important it is during this class time that everyone does their assigned jobs and Mom has her class time without interruptions. Also let your friends and family know that during class time no phone calls, text messaging or emails. Obviously if there is an emergency interruptions are no problem, of course you need to define emergency. This is only an outline, but one I would follow for my self. Remember you will get as much out of this quest as you put into it. Make it happen, you can succeed! easy-lift guy
  5. I suspect not. Drew I believe you made your point and it sounds like you have been delt a raw hand:thumbdown:. Take heed the advise given and try to make the best of it. Just curious if you happen to have any legal recourse based on what you have described?. Take care. easy-lift guy
  6. Good idea, One better roll back your countrys VAT and watch Hiring and production go through the roof!. One thing at a time of course. easy-lift guy
  7. Try going back to the licenses office and secure a temporary document to hold you over. When you finally receive your replacement license make a copy of it and keep it in a safe place for the future. easy-lift guy
  8. Welcome from the Sunshine State. Study hard and stay on the straight and narrow path. You have at your disposal hundreds of years of experiences to learn from. All the best. easy-lift guy
  9. Any tree that close to any structure will in time damage the foundation and the root system will start feeding off the septic or sewer line. Fire wood is the best suggestion after removal easy-lift guy
  10. Just remember if you decide to get a "cheapy", you may be disappointed:sneaky2:. If your in the business for any length of time buy a decent spreader that will make your investment back and than some:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  11. I suspect your cost of living is better and you have lower overhead, I am happy for you:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  12. If I remember correctly when the new caps were introduced here stateside the caps were recalled within a year and had to be replaced by the dealer. I had two machines with replacement caps and does not seem to be a problem. On my chainsaw I have to always be careful and make sure it is on correctly. And 1/2 the time I find either the fuel or the oil leaking on my chaps or boots. Pretty irritating and stupid as a bonus!. easy-lift guy
  13. What you need to understand is that the programming your watching is reality TV. Cable channels sell programs like the one you mentioned to millions of viewers all over the US market. Product placement is no accident and even though the work is real if the rating drop low enough the series is canceled. I believe the guys working the saws and choker lines are pulling $500 to $600 Gross every week. The owners are part of the TV Shows and are more than likely, "if they have good mangers ",getting a cut off syndication for future income needs. Prices of mags are always higher from one country to another, always been that way. In regards to your statement "fuel over there being so cheap yet they moan about it", take a few things into consideration. First the cost of our fuel is keyed to the rate of inflation in this country and even though the present governments in power refuses to include the cost of food, clothing and fuel as part of day to day living expenses, people that work and are not on the dole or government aid are paying for all of the slobs lining up to collect anything free. In comparison to the UK , between the taxes on fuel and your VAT these funds are spent on the Myriad of social welfare programs that the citizen voted for many years ago. Hope that helped clear up something's. easy-lift guy
  14. Good question. Here stateside the accent is different than others I have heard. The evasive nature of their conversations that I have had over the years has left me with a uneasy feeling, not good for the easy-lift guy
  15. Your reply to this thread speaks volumes. It seems to me that the police have a selective means of enforcement when it comes to law enforcement in your country. We have the same situation here stateside, however sometimes the victims of said crimes can and will take matters into their own hands to secure justice or some semblance there of. easy-lift guy
  16. I just did the conversion from euros to dollars, $318,500.00:sneaky2: I think I could get that model a little cheaper over here, even on a bad day!. easy-lift guy
  17. That would turn a few heads here stateside, anyone know what something like that might cost? easy-lift guy
  18. It ain't over till the Fat Lady sings. I am sure if your not happy you can get your money back. easy-lift guy
  19. Same gloves over her for $140.00 US, however while looking at the item at Oakley ther was no mention of any warranty or guarantee?. For that kind of money I would expect at least a year under normal wear conditions. Ground dwellers 2 cents worth anyway. easy-lift guy
  20. Funny how hindsight can be 20/20. Of course your reputation means alot and remember no one can Pimp yourself and your services better than you. easy-lift guy
  21. James, IMHO Time is the single greatest Commodity that is not recoverable. I would suggest making yourself available for your local market as much as possible. I believe the overhead will eat into any actual profit you may realize from your efforts traveling amoung other expenses known and unknown. Good hunting:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  22. Work smarter not harder. Although I can not honestly take credit for this motto, it has served me well with my life. easy-lift guy
  23. You deserve to be happy, and that is a big part of why your in business for your self, other than chasing down customers for funds owed:sneaky2: Have a great weekend:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  24. Stoxs, Your warning is fantastic and I commend you and anyone else willing to help put these folks out of business and in jail for a long time. easy-lift guy
