  5. SORRY about this but if you are a loler inspector i suggest you do a little homework before you quote that a timber crane has to be loler inspexted, because it does NOT and it does have something to do with where the controlls are mounted, HSE page lifting equipment in forestry quotes. Tree harvesters & forwarders with appropiate protective structors will NOT require thorough examination. Equipment used in forestry does not require thorough examination where 1, it does not lift over people 2, the opporator of equipment protected by a roll over protection system (ROPS) or tip over protection system (TOPS) and a falling object protection system (FOPS) or oporator protection system (OPS) you quote that a timber crane and its grab are covered by loler and must be subject to a thorough examination every 12 monthes,is the HSE page wrong or are you wrong, i cant say what i would like to say on here but a loler inspector tryed this one on me and failed big time its called taking money ///////////////////////////////////////// ????????????>
  6. I dont see the reason for all the jibes and pokes at what Nick is charging to load and deliver this timber,?,If i did not have the access to the amount ot timber that i do have and was more local to this I for sure would be putting my name forward for 4 or 5 load as there is good money to be made out of this, softwood firewood del into my yard £42 a tonne and the haulage is only 6 miles. Think about it ???.
  7. Hi we are a small forestry company in the northwest and currentlly seeking a part time hand cutter in the Preston area, the position would proberbly suit some one doing a course at myerscough collage who is looking to gain experiance in felling trees, applicants must have cs30/31 and there own PPE for more information please call Gary on 07763013024 if no reply please leave voicmail and we will get back to you.
  8. Hi that link LGP eddie has put up is the one you want i put 4 of them on the back of our tractor for when the forwarding trailer is on lights up evry thing i need to see and more besides, and that price you can renew them every year if need be,go for it.
  9. that winch is the same as ours but marketed under a different name ours came from a 4x4 shop on a certain auction site but was half the price as the one on your link, great pice of kit thou.
  10. Is that your final answer ? you wont go wrong with an ifor far better resale value than the others,i was looking at a 2014 buffalo tipperon fle bay not far from you john same spec as ifor tt3017 very clean trailer he got £2450 for it a ten year old ifor will bring that, good decisione mind you if it takes as long to buy it as it has for you to make your mind up it will be £3500 + VAT.
  11. Hi john are you sure about price of tyres ? i just had a quote for a tt3017 comes with the 13" wheels as standard but you do have the option of the 12" i was quoted £140 more for the 12" wheels which are what i got as to keep the center of gravaty lower and a bit lower for loading.
  12. Hi its a no brainer really i have been looking for a 10 foot tipper for the last 6 week,i have considered all makes ifor, brian james, buffalo, debon, indespension, graham edwards and nugent, i did not want to buy a dog of one so i have waited and the right one has come along, and its a 7 month old ifor 10x5.5 tipper with ramps for £3200,if it was one of the other mentioned trailers of the same age it would of been around the same price but and this is a BIG but in 5 years if looked after the ifor will be worth 50% more than the others ifors have a MUCH STRONGER resale value,i could of got a indespension 10x6 tipper 2004 for £1500 a mate sold his 2002 ifor at christmas ramps and caged sides its had 7 sets of tyres on it so it had done a bit but been looked after flebayed it and got £2580 for it that was £285 more than he paid for it new in 2002, doesent need much thinking about really.
