  2. Hi its a no brainer really i have been looking for a 10 foot tipper for the last 6 week,i have considered all makes ifor, brian james, buffalo, debon, indespension, graham edwards and nugent, i did not want to buy a dog of one so i have waited and the right one has come along, and its a 7 month old ifor 10x5.5 tipper with ramps for £3200,if it was one of the other mentioned trailers of the same age it would of been around the same price but and this is a BIG but in 5 years if looked after the ifor will be worth 50% more than the others ifors have a MUCH STRONGER resale value,i could of got a indespension 10x6 tipper 2004 for £1500 a mate sold his 2002 ifor at christmas ramps and caged sides its had 7 sets of tyres on it so it had done a bit but been looked after flebayed it and got £2580 for it that was £285 more than he paid for it new in 2002, doesent need much thinking about really.

  17. hi had a simulare problem my self on a kubota after many hours checking and cleaning i just swopped the ends over on the pipes on the trailer been ok since.
  18. Hi used a lot of different liquids and clraners over the years some work some dont but by far i have found methes to be about the best and all so its not expensive couple of quid for 500ml and that will last a couple of monthes all so use it on my hands for removing resin.
  19. hi yes it was i asked you about your 661
  20. Hi we are also based in Lancs we purchased one about 20 monthes ago and have to strongly agree with greygit flat dry land ok,flat wet greasey land a bit of a no go and any sort of incline a big NO we tipped ours over about 7 or eight times in a week, and one thing to look at is i dont think there is a quad out there that is designed and built to tow/pull a trailer that weighs approx 500kgs empty and then 1500kgs plus when its loaded i got that fed up with ours that i set to with grinder and cut it up redesigned it and made it wider for better stabilaty and beefed it up to carry 2 tonne and bought a 40hp kubota 4wd tractor to pull it moved about 500 tonne with it and had NO problems since i rebuilt it, but its got a lot more going for it as it is now than it did before
  21. Hi all, we here at SE Forestry supplied the timber for this event and myself and one employee went along to have a look at what was happening, now carving is not up my street really but what i so blew my mind we where there for about 3 1/2 hrs and to see the sculptures taking shape was spectaculare i for one will definatley be going again as i think for a first event i thought it was excellent and i will give Simon all the support i can to help him make this a succesfull yearly event, well done to all involved and to the guys that took place in the event cant wait till the next one, Regards Gary.

  23. Hi all can any one help me out on this one i am looking for a log peeler debarker attatchment that fits on to a chainsaw power head its basically a rough planer that removes the bark, been on utube and found 3 a rotaflex, eder and a log wizard, the log wizard looks like it belongs in a toy box so thats a no no,the eder one is very simulare to a granberg one that i used 30 years ago but granberg have not made them years so not been available for some time now.found a sourse for bothe the rotaflex and eder but the cost is putting me off as it is more expensive than a new pro saw. has any body got one of these attatchments that is for sale or know the where abouts of one any help on this would be a result many thanks.
  24. Hi just sorted all this my self before christmas, there are one or two grey areas on this subject, but just used our tractor and forwarding trailer for a nptc FMOC accessment and all requirments met, firstly are you using a tractor and forwarding trailer ? if so (1) does the tractor have a ROPS cab roll over protction system, if yes all is good (2) where is the crane and grab controlled from ? if it is from the cab and the oporater does not need to get out, thats good as well, there for you would NOT need a loller certificate, if you was stood next to the trailer or sat on a high seat on the trailer oporating the crane then you would need a loller certificate,i got quoted £300 + VAT for a 1hr inspection and that was every 6 monthes, it cost me £185 to make 16 28" extension pipes up and hang the spool valve on the back of the cab its a no brainer, and one less thing to worrie about,i hope this helps you solve your problem, it is on the HSE website and is explained very clearly about loller certs and forestry machines.
